The accommodation

This beatiful traditional village house is a fully renovated property with 6 double bedrooms, patio and garden and set on the middle of the hamlet of Pelegrina with expansive views to the Dulce River Ravine Natural Park.

The property is distributed into several levels, featuring cooked clay tiled floors and a long mezzanine gallery. The main entrance is at the ground floor, leading to a living room with high wooden ceilings and beams, big side windows and 2 fireplaces. Direct access to the patio is provided from this room.

A short staircase leads to the next level of the house: a large breakfast-dining room with fully equipped kitchen. A stable door leads from this room to the front garden. The double bedrooms (each one fitted with a complete bathroom) are placed on the next two levels. 5 out of 6 bedrooms are placed on one level being the last one entirely occupied by a two chamber suite featuring a balcony with spectacular views to the Rio Dulce Ravine.

Setting

The house is located in the Castilla-La Mancha region of Spain, in the province of Guadalajara, 80 miles north-east of Madrid and about one & half hour drive.

It is a 6 hour drive to France. The house is situated into the hamlet of Pelegrina, which is accessed through the GU-118 local road (this road connecting Sigüenza with the E-90 highway ).

Pelegrina is surrounded by the Dulce River Natural Park which features an outstanding geomorphology, flora & fauna, these facts being recognized decades ago by the prestigious naturalist Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente.

The famous medieval town of Sigüenza is only 8 minutes drive away. This town is fitted with several supermarkets, bars, restaurants, a tourism office, hotels, horse courses, camping site, chemist ,bakeries, petrol station and a hospital.

Sigüenza is a tourist attraction on its own. It boasts several historic buildings, including its outstanding Cathedral and medieval castle.

Activities and attractions

Hiking, cycling, horse riding, walking, musical concerts (Sigüenza), ultralight aircraft flights, local produce market (once a week), monumental tourism. The house is fitted with table-tennis & table-football games.
