The house is situated in a green area, close to a small river and just five minutes away on foot from the magnificent Água d'Alto beach, surrounded by its predominantly green scenery, the riverbanks, singing of birds and the deep blue sea.
For those coming from Ponta Delgada, it is at the beginning of Água d’Alto, after the beach and Hotel Baía Palace. 15 kilometres from João Paulo II Airport, but with the new road from Ponta Delgada/Vila Franca do Campo. This route takes about 15 minutes. Ideal for family holidays and friends.
The island of San Miguel offers a wide variety of tourist attractions, but particularly in this area, the traveller can enjoy the many cultural and sports options, the numerous beaches, the port, fishing, diving, whale and dolphin watching, etc.

Helena and Manuel have done a superb job of restoring this lovely old house. This location is ideal for exploring the central and eastern parts of Sao Miguel, and it is very close to a couple of lovely beaches. There is a very good supermarket in Villa Franca do Campo. Also wonderful hike to Lagoa do Fogo is right at the doorstep! We really enjoyed the outdoor patio and fireplace. Helene and Miguel were so kind and friendly to us throughout our stay, and helped make our time here very enjoyable. Muito obrigada!
