The accommodation

Two large apartments for 4/6 people, built in 2004 upon a stone house from the 19th century, which conserves its original walls and fachade.

We have used traditional materials (stone and wood) but also new materials to give our guests all the comfort they are looking for.

This house is located in the central square of the village, with all services, so we can breakfast on a terrace, buy a newspaper or walking the entire town without car.

Setting

San Vicente de la Barquera is considered the gastronomic destination of Cantabria. In his more than 60 hospitality establishments may enjoy delicious fresh fish from the Cantabrian Sea, spectacular seafood and touches of Nouvelle Cuisine. Without neglecting the pleasant snacks and tapas in bars that serve with marine environment.

On the other hand, being San Vicente in the heart of Natural Park Oyambre, is an important destination for Ornithology Tourism. Throughout the year we visit a large number of expert ornithologists, bird watching enthusiasts or people that without the fans, remain excited to see, at first glance, the rapid flight of the colourful water level Kingfisher, a group of Egrets and cormorants fishing in equipment or cormorants sunning their wings in the middle of the estuary at middle tide.

Activities and attractions

The Most adventurous they will be able to make alternative and adventure activities as Diving, Surf, Fishing with cane, submarine Fishing, Trekking, Rafting, Canoes, Strolls to horse, Taking down of canyons, Hidrospeed, Climbing, 4x4, Quads, Puenting, Rafting, etc.

Also the possibility for the lovers of golf exists, to practice this sport in the new golf course "Santa Marina", 18-hole course designed by Severiano Ballesteros and to 5 minutes of San Vicente.

And to have a calm day, we recommended a relax stroll by the Old Town, visiting the Castle of the King, the Church of Santa Maria of the Angels, the House of the Inquisidor Corro (present City council), the Tower of the Provost and the Ramparts.

Also we suggested a visit to the Fishing Port, where we will be able to see enter the boats that come to work and to attend on sale of the fish.
