5 A lovely stay de usr419441 02/Nov/2009

A group of five of us stayed in the Quinta for a week. The property was very clean, spacious and well-equipped. It is situated in a lovely rural location and is perfect if complete peace and quiet is required. The information about the local walks was very helpful and we enjoyed the walks we did, finding the information and maps quite easy to follow. It is worth noting that there is not much in the way of local shops and restaurants so it is probably best to expect to self cater unless you don't mind a drive home after dinner. The kitchen is very well equipped indeed so this is not a problem and we all enjoyed tranquil evenings in the Quinta. Catherine was very helpful in providing information in advance, particularly in terms of finding the property. We would certainly recommend this holiday to the sort of people who would enjoy a tranquil, walking type holiday. One thing to note is that we had trouble finding petrol stations.

We spent a wonderful relaxing fortnight In August at the Quinta. The accommodation was great, the scenery wonderful and the local facilities excellent, and at the same time it was quiet and felt 'away-from-it-all'! The Quinta was a wonderful home away from home.

5 A slice of peace and quiet de usr347741 19/Jun/2009

Our two weeks spent at the Quinta were wonderful. It has been a very long time since we were able to enjoy such true peace and quiet with little or no mechanical noise. The house itself was cool, comfortable and very well equipped, providing an excellent base from which to set off each day. We found the best way to see the region was by following one of the walks provided. To be able to walk in ancient landscapes, down cobbled tracks with only the sound of birds and the occasional goat or sheep bell is a rare treat in this day and age. Each one was full of colour, plants, wildlife and history and all different with some unique sights. This is not the holiday for those who need shops, fully working mobile phones, touristy things, bright lights, and people; it is a must however for those wanting to re-discover the lost art of silence, a slice of peace and quiet and see some fantastic sights.
