El Campillo, family country house near the beach

The accommodation

A few meters from the green road of Ojos Negros and only 40 minutes drive from Valencia and its beaches, is El Campillo, a large country house in Navajas (Castellón), surrounded by natural parks and washed by the Palancia River. It is an old farmhouse remodeled by the architect Eva Verdú Vila, maintaining the architectural style that was designed by its founder, Tío Campillo, in the last century. The house retains its essence and is endowed with every comfort. Its 7 double rooms, 1 single room and attic can accommodate up to 17 people. It has 2 living-dining rooms, library, 4 bathrooms and kitchen. It has all the services (wifi, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, DVD, stereo ...) integrated with its rural origin (Arab tiles, wooden beams, high ceilings ...). It has been completely isolated from the cold of the mountain and has underfloor heating and fireplace. The thick walls keep it cool in the summer.

Its more than 2,000 m2 of gardens and orchard house fruit and ornamental trees, swings, sun loungers, barbecue, oven moruno ... and in summer you can enjoy the pool of salt water (saline chlorination). A place to rest where to pass the time in good company, but always having a corner for privacy.

Setting

It is located 10 minutes walk from the Salto de la Novia, an impressive natural park full of waterfalls and bathing areas in the Palancia River. It is surrounded by mountains and natural parks ideal for hiking, horse riding or canoeing.

What can be done?

- Hiking: green path of Black Eyes; Natural parks of Sierra Espadán and Sierra Calderona.

- Ski: The stations of Javalambre and Valdelinares de Teruel are about 90 km.

- Horse riding: There is a riding center in Navajas.

- Go to the beach: The coast is about 40 km.
