Villa near the city of Lisbon, nice residence situated in a quiet area, just 4 km from the beaches of Costa da Caparica, near golf courses in Aroeria
, 20 minutes from Lisbon by car or train.

Ideal residence for who wants to know the central and southern Portugal, ideial for people who want to relax enjoying the sunset from the magnificent Atlantic coast.

Activities and attractions

The city of Lisbon is one of the few European capitals embraced by river and sea. It is also a particular city with its picturesque quarters of Alfama and Mouraria.

The Castle of S. George and all the various monuments that can be found here, among which stand out the Tower of Belém and the Monastery of Jeronimos, a World Heritage site, sites are almost mandatory for the visitor. This entire region is privileged in parks and nature reserves, which joins a magnificent coastline tempered by a very pleasant climate. We can not fail to mention the Serra de Sintra, where the perfect combination of palaces and nature led to the classification of UNESCO World Heritage Site.

* Almada, Frigate Don Fernando II e Gloria
The D. Fernando was the last warship to sail entirely on sails of the Portuguese Navy. It was built in Daman, Portuguese India.

* Convent of Capuchos da Caparica ( Almada)
The monument, as is the prerogative of the Franciscan Order, is characterized by its simplicity but elegance is apparent in their lines.

* Sanctuary of Christ the King in Almada
It lies at an altitude of 113 meters above the Tagus, which consists of a portico designed by architect António Lino, 75 meters high, topped by a statue of the Redeemer with open arms facing the city of Lisbon, with 28 meters high, the work of Portuguese sculptor Francisco Franco de Sousa. The pedestal, including the portico, rises to 82 meters high.

* Portinho Arrábida a bay with a small island, Anicha, which forms a natural harbor is sheltered by the mountains, along with the beach Figueirinha, one of the most popular in the region.

* Sesimbra, in the Setúbal District, lying at the foothills of the Serra da Arrábida, a mountain range between Setúbal and Sesimbra.
Due to its particular position at the Setúbal Bay, near the mouth of the Sado River and its natural harbour, it’s an important fishing town, Besides professional fishing and sport fishing (mainly of swordfish), the most significant revenues in Sesimbra come from tourism. The town is famous for its beaches, fish restaurants and nightlife.

Everything was according to our expectations, and even over! The house is spacious, and nicely decorated (in a traditional way). But the best is the owner's courtesy and helpfulness. He was great, even in our situation, when (due to a mishap) we confirmed our stay only on the same morning. Still, he was understanding of our situation, and made the necessary arrangements to welcome us. Thank you very much Mr. Antonio!

An excellent experience right from the start. The owner was very accomodating and set up a paypal account so that currency exchange was not a problem. He provided maps of the area and was an excellent communicator. He was there to meet us on arrival and to show us round.
The house itself is in a quiet residential neighbourhood of detached houses and conveniently positioned for easy access to either visit the Lisbon area or the coast.
There is a pleasant barbeque area and plenty of fuel. We went in winter, so we used the log fire to bolster the electric radiators.
The house was well appointed with what we needed and everything worked.
