'La Solana' rural house is an old Andalusian cortijo built in the early 20th century. The house has recently been restored and, at present, is properly furnished for rural tourism. A major aspect is a priviledged location, right in the centre of the 'Sierras Subbéticas' Natural Park in Cordoba, where the precipitous mountain ranges surrounding the house provide a dazzling view.
The building itself consists of two floors and is surrounded by a garden. The house has thick walls that ensure cool during the hot summer and warm in winter. It has original wooden beams on the ceiling. Another highlight is a narrow corridor which provides access to a typical Andalusian patio, at the back of the house. In the front of the house there is a great masonry bench, where under the shadow of a leafy ivy and vine arbour the guest can delight in the view of the majestic 'Horconera' mountain range and its 1476-metre-high peak 'Bermejo'.
