Armação de Pêra


Armação de Pêra was once a small fishing town where the fisherman used to catch tuna that was then brought to the Praia dos Pescadores.

The network that fishermen used to catch the tuna was called Armação and, as is very close to Pera, this town has earned the name Armação de Pêra.

Here is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Algarve, adorned with incredible inlets and with a good choice of restaurants of fish (especially in the area of Praia dos Pescadores).

It is the ideal place for a relaxing vacation and has that special touch we sure you will love. There is a promenade along the beach, where a casino, a field of mini-golf and some viewpoints.

The beach of Armação de Pêra is perfect for children because it is very quiet and has a gradual slope. During the day, the fishermen bring in the tourists travel along the coast, giving them rare moments of beauty witnessed in the fascinating rock formations and the mysterious caves.

In this area you find a small novelistic chapel of Senhora da Rocha, the election of local fishermen before leave for a night of fishery. Tell the people that was here that there was a vision of the Virgin Mary.
