The village of Santa María de Nava is situated in the Santullán Valley , to the north-east of the Lindera del Olmo and on the right bank of the Arroyo de Prados, close to the rugged crags of San Julián.
The Santa Cecilia Church rises high above the undulating countryside, with a scattering of houses that make up a small hamlet. Towards the west, we find the narrow corridor between the gabled building of the temple and a large 18th-century country house (Caserío Los Soriano). Here, in this village, you can discover the modern Carmen Sanctuary , a site of great devotion for worshippers in the area.
