Not only is this villa perfectly placed, with local amenities available, it is also owned by wonderful landlords. The atmosphere is welcoming from the outset, continuing to be so throughout your stay. On our next stay in the Azores we would not wantto stay anywhere else!
The accommodation itself is outstanding, with two decent sized bedrooms, one with walk in wardrobe. The lounge and eating area is homely, although we preferred to relax in the hammocks outside and eat at the outdoor table. The stunning cheminee is great for real wood fired cooking. The roof terrace has a beautiful view at any time of the day or night.
I would highly recommend this holiday home without any hesitation. (A car is necessary for access unless you plan to get taxis around the island.£

Azores islands was one of the best holidays in my life peace is what we enjoyed most about staying at Os Salguieros.
There is nothing more needed to make our stay more comfortable. Happiness is always expensive! Excellent situation close to one of the best beaches of Faial, and also near to the volcano and the caldeira; great terrace, cozy house, granting a lot of privacy. We will be back

Very nice house, comfortable and very well equipped, Zelda is a very good host. Only disappointment is that on the north coast of Fajal it's always more cloudy and cold than in the south.

Everything was perfect - all you can hear is nature with the birds singing and the ocean waves. Zelda is a perfect hostess and made sure our trip was memorable. Will be back!

Excellent situation close to one of the best beaches of Failal, and also near to the volcano and the caldeira; great terrasse, cosy house, granting a lot of privacy. Owner and contact persons on the spot are nice and helpful. Internet access is a great plus.

Cosy little cottage, with everything you need! The road to get there is beautiful (winding among woods and lined with hydrangeas) and the scenery around is spectacular, especially when the sea is a bit rough! As for the owners/managers, they are very friendly and always ready to help!

My family loved the location, hammocks, and the terrace on the roof. I especially enjoyed the privacy and the peace and quiet. the fishing and beach was so fantastic, the people in the village were so kind to us. this compact The cottage is fully equipped for vacation needs. We will definely recommend this accommodation.

We had stayed in the cottage in February. Driving on the road to the cottage there were many old stone houses and ruins. The cottage in Praia do Norte, was in a very peaceful location next to the village. It had everything we needed to relax after a day of touring the island. We woke up to crashing waves against the rocks and the beach (5 minute walk). Walking through the old farm roads near the cottage was a great way to start our mornings. We took time every day just enjoying the plants.

On one of our strolls in the old road, we met a farm woman walking her few cows down to another pasture. We felt we were back in time. Occasionally, you would meet the farmers moving their herds along the main roads to other pastures. The village of Fajã was very quiet and occasionally you came across a farmer and his wife hoeing a plot of land by hand. You feel you are definitely in the old world of Europe.

The Bela Vista Café-Snack bar near Capelo was one of the best restaurants. The food was very regional and excellent price. I would highly recommend eating here at least once on your way to Horta from the cottage. The other restaurant we enjoyed immensely was Pete´s Café in Horta. They have an excellent menu with great prices, service was 5 stars.

This cottage is highly recommended for a couple for a romantic getaway or small family. We would like to return again for a longer stay. Four days is not enough to see Faial. I would recommend a minimum of 7 days for Faial and then another 7 days to see Pico and Graciosa (depending on the hikes available).

Wat hebben wij genoten van ons fantastische huisje aan de oceaan! Geen buren!! Schitterend uitzicht over de oceaan en een uitlopend deel van het eiland waar geen lichtje brandt 's avonds! Heerlijk brandschoon huis met door muur omheinde tuin met hek, handig met kleine kinderen.Voorzien van alle benodigdheden en dakterras voor het ultieme genieten met een glaasje. Alleen het geluid van de stormvogels en de zee. Wel een auto huren want anders zit je te ver van alles af. Enorme service van de beheerders die op 5 min. afstand wonen!
