Calle Huertas - Sept 2010,
by: Ray Mulry, 15/Sep/2010 (regarding a stay in September 2010)
Domingo and his wife were very pleasant and met us at the agreed times. The location of the apartment was perfect and central for our few days. It was a basic yet practical accomodation. It was quite noisy outside but I expected that.
The two main problems I had with the accomodation were the following.
1). Towels and Linen should have been washed better, I personally don't think the towels were any way fresh. The lights were extremely ineffective.
2). I requested air conditioning but I knew a few weeks before going that this wasn't available which is fine. It was oppressively hot....35 degrees in day time and 28-30 degrees at night with virtually no ventilation. However, I would suggest that there be 'plug-in fans' available for guests in each room as most of our party had difficulty sleeping.
Regards,
Ray

From the first moment I had problems with the sr. Ray. It was delayed for sending money from the reserve, saying that he was missing data to make the transfer (always send full data sets, including the account number IBAN, BIC enough to make a transfer from anywhere and has never been a problem).
From the beginning asked daily change of towels and was told that leaves another complete game with stays longer than six days (it was 4 nights) and asked for air conditioning and was told, as stated on the announcement that Rentalia apartment ceiling fans and no air conditioning.
Of course, the towels were not new but they were well washed and clean and the lighting and ventilation of the house is right with balconies and windows to the outside. I informed upon arrival that when it is hot the house should be closed during the day and open at night to refrigerate. I am not responsible for in those days had a heat wave especially at night or that it was a family likely to be overweight heat.
In addition, upon arrival we were at 7pm and arrived two hours later without any justification. By the way, leaving, when we are to return the deposit and hand over the keys, at 13,30 h, had entered the house wide open all the heat of the street, I asked and was told that everything had been very well without deliberately concealed any problems and they had broken a chair hiding the pieces.
Regards: Domingo.
Ideal Location,
by: Javier and Julie, 06/Jul/2010 (regarding a stay in June 2010)
We were two families with three kids meeting in Spain, one from Australia the other from the USA. This apartment is strategically located in a peatonal street in the centre of Madrid. It is ideal for a few days exploration of Madrid's culture and life styles. The diverse range of neighbooorhood restaurants and small shoping centres adds to its charm. The Apartment is spacious and comfortable. The only negative remark pertains to some late night street noise, specially if the nights are very hot and the windows need to remain open. No air conditioning is available.
Owner's reply 08/Jul/2010
The apartment is located in a quiet pedestrian street in Barrio de las Letras. Normally, the air conditioning is not necessary because the apartment is well targeted, isolated and has some thick walls. It happens to coincide one weeks especially warm and the neighborhood parties (San Juan) for opening the windows could sometimes be uncomfortable.

6 giorni a Madrid,
by: Raffaella, 12/Feb/2011 (regarding a stay in February 2011)
Eravamo in 6 e siamo stati benissimo!

We were a group of eight people and we'd stayed in Madrid for a week.everything was great!
The apartment is really comfortable, roomy and nice. It's close by some museum(Prado,Reina Sofia,Thyssen Bornemisza)and the wonderful Park of Retiro!
Near home there is also the tube(Anton Martin) and the railway station of Atocha.
The owners are really kind and willing.
Really a good choice!
