We are frequent travellers and have been to many places, but this one was really special. For the first big holiday with our baby girl (13 month at arrival) we were looking for a place which would give us freedom and comfort and this is what we found at Casa Da Canada. Right from the first contact with the owner Antonio we knew this is the place to go and we were really lucky. For this 23 days in this house we had everything we needed and much more. The weather was perfect just one day conplete of rain the rest sunny and nice something which we had not expected end of February until mid of March. The location and the equipment in the house are excellent. Beeing right in the middle of the island with direct acces to the new build motorway you can tour the whole island with a breeze. We can even recommend this place to be travelling with small children with no exception. But the best is the contact with the very kind owner itself we had the chance to meet Antonio on our way back via Lisbon and had a wonderfull day with him. Thanks a lot again to Antonio and we are very sure if we come back to this wonderful island this is the place to stay. Michael, Pavla and Freya.

We searched a calm and peaceful place and we found this beautiful house next to Ribeirinha. The little house offers everything you need for comfortable and stress less holidays. Outside you have a wonderful view to the seaside or to the Fire Lake mountain, a nice possibility to seat outside and even to have a barbeque. It is lovely decorated and well kept. We can only recommend this place to everybody who likes a private and individual place to have some wonderful days off.
Regarding the owner of the house, Mr. António, he was very friendly and helpful since our first contact, thanks Mr. António for the great place, help and recommendations.
For sure that we will chose this house if we ever plan to visit São Miguel again.

At first sight rather basic but once settled in it felt quite comfortable and it has everything a house needs, and is nicely situated close to Ribeirinha and Ribeira Grande. We understand now why the outside shutters had to be closed, not for the sun but the storm ythat raged when we arrived. The very helpfull owner: o senhor Antonio gave us a lot of information about the area, restaurants, hiking trails and things. The weather unfortunately wasn't too good to be sitting outside but we did see a lot of the island in wind, rain, mist but also sunshine. The surroundings are very quiet and peaceful though the construction of the new road has a great impact on the area but when ready it will be a great improvement to the island people. Even this time of the year there were many flowers and we loved having the ocean in view everywhere you go. Definitely a place to come back to!!

The little house is located centrally on the island and therefore is an ideal starting place for exploring the entire island.
It is appropriately equipped and comfortable and there are no neighbours in the vicinity that could harm the quiet.
From the terrace you get a wonderful view of the sea, Ribeirinha and the northern coastline, so it is a perfect place to end an adventurous day.
Antonio is a very caring landlord. Already long before the start, he helped us with planning our holidays on Sao Miguel, and we recieved many useful tips and information as well as detailed suggestions for trips around the island. In the end we spent great holidays and Antonio contributed to that with his accommodation and advice, many thanks for that!

We are regular travelers. We found in this accommodation surrounded of beautiful landscapes an ideal place to enjoy the natural beauty of the island. We felt ourselves close to everything. The house is neat, comfortable and well decorated. The family loved these fantastic days. Obrigado, Mr António for your kindness and sympathy.

Maison très agréable ; calme, jolie, bien équipée et très propre. Elle est vraiment bien située pour découvrir cette magnifique île, et se trouve à 10 petites minutes en voiture de la belle plage de Porto Formoso, que nos enfants ont adoré !
L'initiative du propriétaire de mettre une voiture à disposition sur place est particulièrement économique et très confortable puisqu'il se charge de commander un taxi pour les trajets entre l'aéroport et le gîte.
Antonio nous a beaucoup aidés à préparer notre voyage, et il a eu la gentillesse de nous consacrer une journée lors de notre passage à Lisbonne. Toutes ces attentions nous ont beaucoup touchés, et nous l'en remercions une nouvelle fois.
En conclusion, nous avons vraiment passé un très très bon séjour...

Uma linda casa, espaçosa, muito asseada e um espaço envolvente maravilhoso!
Fomos muito bem recebidos, são pessoas muito acolhedoras e o Sr. António ajudou-nos imenso com as suas dicas sobre os melhores locais a visitar. Uma pessoa excelente e muito bem educada.
É sem dúvida um pequeno paraíso!

Le foto sul sito e la disponibilità del Sig.Antonio, ci hanno spinte a scegliere proprio questa casa in cui trascorrere le nostre vacanze sull’Isola di Sao Miguel.
Ma è nel momento in cui siamo arrivate che abbiamo capito che la nostra scelta non sarebbe potuta essere migliore: le casetta, di pietra vulcanica, tipica delle Azzorre, oltre ad essere dotata di tutti i confort e situata in un punto ideale per visitare l’Isola, emana un fascino tale che te ne innamori dal primo momento.
Circondata dal verde e dalle mucche, con la vista sull’oceano e sulle colline, riesce a trasmetterti pace e tranquillità e a farti sentire parte dell’Isola.

Il proprietario, il Sig. Antonio, è molto molto disponibile, reperibile 24 ore su 24 per ogni evenienza e un gran conoscitore dell’isola (dal momento in cui abbiamo preso contatto, ha subito provveduto ad inviarci itinerari ed indicazioni preziose per organizzare il nostro tour dell’Isola).
Siamo convinte, che questa casa unita alla gentilezza del proprietario, sia la sistemazione PERFETTA, per una vacanza sull’Isola di Sao Miguel.
