excellent hosts and great value for money,
by: martha, 07/Aug/2011 (regarding a stay in May 2011)
The apartment was exactly as it appeared on the photos, very clean and comfortable, with all the necessary equipment. Isabel & Vitor were more than kind and willing to welcome us and provide us with small tips, maps and leaflets in order to draw our way around the city of Porto.
Best hints: easy access to public transportations/ double, comfortable bed / many extra facilities (dvd player &music collection, iron etc) / friendly and polite hosts.
We really had a great time and I strongly recommend it for 2 or 3 people.
Porto center - Apartment Low Cost ,
by: Guy Hageman, 11/Dec/2010 (regarding a stay in November 2010)
The owners of the accommodation were very pleasant and helpful. The accommodation was adequate, a one bed roomed flat, but it is not as spacious as the online photos suggest. It is however sufficient accommodation for a couple. The flat has no heating except for an oil filled radiator and a small fan heater. It was unusually cold (november/dec) for my visit so I needed to move the radiator from the living room to bedroom. The kitchen has all the basic utensils you may need along with a propane gas hob and a travel kettle. Be aware if you have the heater on full and then boil the kettle the mains electric will trip out, easy to resolve by the flick of a switch. The lounge was comfortable with the basic sky TV package provided, books, dvd’s maps, guidebooks etc. . The flat is located in the high old town area with an excellent bakery directly opposite. A small supermarket is with easy walking distance, along with grocery and butchers within easy reach. It takes 30 mins brisk walking to reach the river. (uphill all the way home again).
very nice spot in Porto,

I'm just back from a 4 days trip to Porto where I stayed in this appartement with my boyfriend. The hosts are very nice and helpful and helped me since the booking of the apartment. They tried to give us some recommendations when we arrived and offered a bottle of wine and 2 small bottles of water it was so nice!
The apartment looks like on the pictures and is clean and well furnished. There is no heater so if you come in late November and more it may be a bit cold. The place is very convenient with a bakery (a very good one!) in front on the other street and the bus and metro are very close. You can also walk to the city centre - it's 15min to/from the train station. I would recommend that place to anyone who wants to be free and close to any places in Porto and doesn’t want to stay in an anonymous place like a hotel room.
Best
The description and photos were exactly accurate, but even then one has to be at the flat to appreciate what very good value it is.
The owner, who is most charming and helpful, has been extremely thoughtful and considerate in supplying all the equipment one could possibly need to make the flat into a most comfortable home-away-from-home. There was even a bottle of wine and one of water left for us, plus cooking essentials.
Everything was spotlessly clean and oh-joy, the bed was very comfortable!. The covered washing-line was very handy too.
We were able to walk into the town, but for the uphill return and visits elsewhere, both bus and Metro are closeby.
We liked the balcony onto the street with the view across to the most delicious and friendly patisserie!
The actual block of flats has a security door and is very quiet - no late-night ravers! Being on the main road, it does get a bit noisy during the day, but we were out and so it didn't bother us.
All-in-all, this accomodation helped to make the holiday very enjoyable and we look forward to a return visit sometime.
Great Apartment and Location,

The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing holidays is well equipped if you want to cook but you don’t really need to since there are loads of restaurants to go in the area. It’s a quiet, clean and safe place to stay well located to see and enjoy the beautifull Oporto city. The metro is close to the apartment but you don’t really need to take it much since the apartment is very central.
Good...,

Mini vacaciones en Oporto,
by: Yolanda, 09/Dec/2011 (regarding a stay in December 2011)
