La Pinilla (Cerezo de Arriba, Segovia)
 Teriffic Little Resort, 10/Feb/2006
La Pinilla is great for a day ski from Madrid. It took 2 hours to get our passes and get up the mountain at the weekend. The runs are great with very little crowding. Highly recommended if you cannot get further afield.

Sierra Nevada (Monachil, Granada)
Good For a Few Days, 10/Feb/2006
Sierra Nevada is a terrific resort to spend 2-3 days skiing but bewarned the queue to get up the mountain at the weekend is MENTAL. The red runs over the back of the mountain are really steep in places. Snowboards are not allowed on the drag lifts and if you want to eat out at the weekend you must book your restaurant beforehand.
