The apartments are located 5 minutes walk from a wide sandy beach and just behind the marina of Caleta de Velez and 3 minutes from the diversion of the Mediterranean motorway.
Caleta de Velez is a fishing village with all amenities (bars, restaurants, bars, bakeries, banks, supermarkets, hardware store, doctor's office ...)
Especially recommended are the bars and fish restaurants in the area.
The bus stop is a few meters from the apartments.
The golf course of Bavaria is a five minute drive.
The bustling town of Torre del Mar is a 20-minute walk along the promenade or a 5-minute drive

Activities and attractions

You can not miss sunrise or sunset walk along the sea by six kilometers of uninterrupted seafront promenade in the area.
White Towns of the Axarquia, Nerja and its famous caves, the beaches of the Natural Park of Maro and Cerro Gordo with its cliffs and coves, typical are other point of interest worth visiting.
The city of Granada and the Alhambra are just over an hour's drive.
The Aquavelis water park and Centro Comercial El Ingenio are within a five minute drive.

Wonderful stay from Aga 23/Oct/2016 (period of stay: October 2016)

The apartment is really comfortable, new and cosy. It has everything one would need during the stay: kitchen is fully equipped, beds are wide and comfortable, bathroom really nice, wifi is strong (in case anyone needs to use it for work). The view is beautiful. It's very close everywhere - to the beach, restaurants and shops. Nice location for vacation with family and kids. Paths for runners and bikes along the long beach. I would definitely recommend this apartment.
Also, Emma has been a wonderful hostess, really taking care of her guests. iGracias! :-)

We've spent 8 nights in the apartment on 3d floor (with balcony) in mid September 2013.
Initially we've asked for another apartment in this area but owner suggested us this one and finally we loved this one. Apartment was good and fully equipped with cooking and bathroom stuff. The view from balcony on marina and fish market is really great. I was a bit scared about possible smell from fish market and port but it was no problem at all.
The location is really good for people who prefer calm and quiet relaxed vacation. It is situated inside local area with no hotels and tourists however the nearest bar is in next building and the nearest restaurant in ~200 m. there are 2 beaches (right and left from marina) both are ok.
Location is also good for day travel to both Sevilla (250 km) and Granada (100km).
Apartment itself is really good for 2 persons or 2 adults with children but might be a little bit small for 4 adults. One small issue we have faced is strength of WiFi signal at 3d floor, i was not able to use my mobile phone WiFi on balcony but only inside the apartment. However it was not critical for me at all as i was on vacation and did not need to be online.
I would recommend this apartment to stay and if i would have a chance i will go back sometime. Many thanks to Juan Emilio for hospitality!

Disappointing from Lynne 04/Sep/2012 (period of stay: August 2012)

No proper balcony to sit on although details described apartment as having a balcony. It is only a 'Juliette' Balcony. (we told the owner and it has now been changed on the website but we would not have booked this accommodation had we known).
Bed and sofa bed very uncomfortable. Double bed sags in the middle and sofa bed extremely hard. Bed had to be made up and bottom fitted sheets did not fit the double bed properly so kept coming off. Minimal amount of bedding/towels although we were given some worn out beach towels as extra! Used washer/drier to change the towels.
Bolster style pillows very lumpy with no support - had to use cushions underneath.
Minimal crockery supplied.
No basic supplies in cupboards/fridge - just some salt - not even a bottle of water for when you arrive.
No microwave although listed on details.
We have stayed in a lot of apartments in this region which have all been very good.
Clean and in good condition. Good air con.
Good location for marina, beaches and restaurants but would not return to this apartment because it was not comfortable enough.

We are really sad about this opinion.

About the balcony: In our first email to this tenant we wrote: “The penthouse has a terrace, however the apartments on first and second floor have balconies”. We thought that this, with the photos, was enough. We apologize (again) about the misunderstanding. When they explained us that, in English, that kind of balcony was told a “Juliette Balcony”, not a “balcony”, we immediately changed it on the web (just when we arrived home!)
About the bed and sofa-bed, there has been more than hundred different tenants and this is just the first people with complaints about the double bed. Anyway, we´ll take a look to that bed. No complaints about the sofa bed until yours. (?)
About bedding clothes and towels, we usually provide one linen change per week with two big towels and two hand towels, plus the sheets. Of course, more on request (no request on this case) About the sheets fitting, we probably provide the wrong sized one. Sorry if we made a mistake (but, again, they didn´t told us ) All our linen is washed in a laundry. About the beach towels, (that we provided them although we don´t provide usually) they were just the second people who used these towels (¿worn out?)
About the pillows, we´ll take a look too. About the crockery, the apartments usually have 6 services for 2 people. (more on request, but no request)
We didn´t tell you that you were going to have any supplies, so we don´t understand your complaint about this.
It is the only apartment that had no microwave (again, nobody asked for it) . It had oven, but no microwave. (It had also dryer and it is not published in the web) It has now a new microwave.
Thanks about your words about cleaning, air conditioned and location.
All these complaints could have been solved if just we knew them on time. We always ask our tenants to call us if anything is not as they expected, but knowing the complaints two months later… we can´t do too much for you!

We think the balcony stuff was the spot that made that all they saw was bad.

We always try to do our best, and commentaries like this make us feel sad, because almost everything could be solved on time with just a call and due all we have explained, we don´t agree too much with this opinion.

This turned out to be a really good place to stay, I thought, before I left home, that maybe it wouldn't be as nice as the photos, but it was. It was lovely and clean and everything was new and modern. The views across the marina, the fishing port and the ocean were perfect for just sitting and watching the world go by.We were very comfortable and there was everything we needed for cooking and we had loads of hot water. We could easily walk to local shops and take day trips to other places of interest. Thank you Juan and Borja and thanks for the lovely mangos!

That was the first time I had to organise this kind of vacation on my own. I had many doubts about different apartments and I chose that one. The house is very modern, stylish and well-equiped. You can see the yacht harbour from the balcony. The area is nice, picturesque and private. The owners - Borja and Juan Emilio are very sociable, disposable, polite and trustworthy.
