House for 5 people with private garden

We stayed in this old but comfortable house for 5 nights. The owners (also speaks Dutch!) are very nice and helpful. The views from the bedrooms are great, the mountains are nearby. We had a BBQ under the horreo with again splendid views. The living room is in the attic, right under the roof. Can be warm. We mainly stayed in the dining room.

This is a characterful house that's a couple of hundred years old. It's beautifully maintained, well-equipped and clean but it does inevitably have a few quirks although you'll gladly forgive them because it's so charming. The views from the bedrooms are exceptional and there's a modern living room at the top of the house to relax in. The family who own it have a house just opposite but won't bother if you want to keep to yourself. They couldn't do enough for us and were very kind. Those quirks: the upstairs bed is incredibly creaky and you have to access the lovely terrace and herreo by going round the front which makes eating outside a chore. Oh, and if you don't like bells it's right opposite a church! Take these all as nitpicks (well maybe not the bells) because it's lovely.
