Cádiz is a place for family holidays, quiet, relaxing. But you can also visit his province, who visit for the first time is so engaged, often return the next year.
Cadiz is an island and therefore, most sports are related to the sea and can be practiced in their ports and freely in many areas: fishing, surfing (in all its forms), diving, sailing, sailing, etc.
Cadiz has 3,000 years of history and its museums, monuments and archaeological and historical remains are perfectly preserved.
The Province of Cadiz has many interesting things to see and visit, for example, one of the best wines in the world ( the Sherry) in its wineries in Jerez, Puerto de Santa María, Chiclana, Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Los Pueblos Blancos de la Sierra (Grazalema, El Bosque, Zahara, Setenil, Algar, etc. ). Unique landscapes such as Pinsapar in Grazalema, Alcornocales Park, Strait of Gibraltar. Ferris leave from Tarifa and Algeciras to Africa that is 14 Km by sea.
How to get to Cadiz
It is accessible by a San Fernando Cádiz motorway linking with the rest of the continent, has on one side the Atlantic Ocean, and on the other the Bay of Cadiz. You can also access the city crossing the Bay Bridge, which links Cadiz to the industrial center of Puerto Real. Now it is building a second bridge over the bay which is a great feat of engineering which will open in 2015.
The apartment is on the Plaza de Madrid, near the corner of Avenue Stadium.
At 200 meters from the railway station (Stop Stadium) it is buried.
The city bus stop is at the door
Jerez airport 20 kms, 110 kms Seville airport, 200 kms from Malaga airport.
No car you needed
If you come with the idea of relaxation and beach, no need car as Victoria Beach is 5 minutes walk. To the center of town no car is recommended because parking is difficult and there is a bus stop at the door leading to the center. About 150 meters away from train station and commuter trains can go to San Fernando, El Puerto de Santa María, Jerez etc.
The flat has easy connections with other towns and beaches of the area and the car can visit other interesting places on the Bay of Cadiz and throughout the province as the white villages of the Sierra, Field of Gibraltar with ability to cross the Strait in Tangier Ferris etc.
You have two choices, use an underground car park which is about 100 meters, it is rented for weeks or you can leave it on the street around the Stadium because there are many areas where parking is free.
A great way to enjoy a vacation is to rent a bike, take the train (is allowed on trains) and get in any city in the area such as San Fernando, El Puerto de Santa María, Puerto Real etc. In all these cities have great circuits of cycle paths and tourist offices have brochures for bike tours visiting museums, monuments, walks in the next National Parks: Cadiz Bay Natural Park, Los Toruños, or the Algaida Las Canadas.

Activities and attractions
CADIZ, AN ALIVE AND EXCITING CITY
First I advise stroll through its narrow streets and small squares filled with terraces of bars and restaurants, take part of the bustle and joy of the people of the city and enjoy the pleasure of the "tapeo" tasting fried fish ( pescaíto frito) (1) and other products of Cadiz's tasty and plentiful gastronomy.
Walk around the Barrio del Pópulo (2), visit the Cathedral, Plaza de la Flores, Food Market (3) and Genovés Park .
By the size of the city, you can reach walking to all the points of tourist interest , Torre Tavira (4), Barrio de la Viña (5), Plaza de Mina and Archaeological Museum (6), Plaza de San Antonio, Plaza de San Juan de Dios with City Hall in the background, La Caleta beach and Castillo de San Sebastián (7).
If you have time I recommend the Catamaran trip to Puerto de Santa Maria (8).
(1) fried fish. Anyone who visits Cadiz have to try their famous "fried fish" ( pescaíto frito) and shrimp fritters ( tortillitas de camarones).
You can taste them in any bar in Cadiz especially in the Freiduría Las Flores (Plaza las Flores) and the Bar La Caleta in the bottom of the beach of La Caleta.
(2) Barrio del Pópulo. The district of El Pópulo, located at the entrance of Old Town, between City Hall and the Cathedral, is the oldest of the provincial capital (Roman theater, old Cathedral, Tower of the Sanctuary , the Cathedral, the House of Admiral). Must see and go through the arch of the Blanco, vestige of an ancient Roman gate.
It is very close to the Roman Theatre of Gades.
(3) Food Market. The old Plaza de Abastos has been renovated and converted into a leisure area with different spaces where you can taste sushi, Argentine empanadas, spritzers, assorted wines, cheeses, craft beer etc. It is a very nice place to have a snack, lunch etc.
4) Camera obscura of the Tavira Tower. Cádiz is known for its watchtowers, where the shipowners awaited the arrival of their ships from America loaded with goods. Specifically, the Tavira Tower was designated official watchtower of the port of Cadiz, being the highest point of the city. Today has placed a camera obscura where you can observe the daily life of the people on the terrace roofs and its urban planning. It is better to book.
(5) Barrio de La Viña. It is the most typical and picturesque of Cadiz, Cadiz carnival soul.
The Virgin of La Palma street is littered with many restaurants and terraces where you can taste the most varied cuisine of Cadiz.
The Manteca Bar in street Corralón of Carros 66 with its tasty Iberian sausages, services of a typical special way.
The most exquisite people can go to the Restaurant El Faro, Calle San Felix where they can test in its bar the most varied tapas including black rice (order it on arrival because it takes 15 minutes to prepare, in the meantime and to ease the wait, order a tapa of "potatoes aliñas", fried calamari or shrimp fritters)
6) Plaza de Mina and Archaeological Museum. The Municipal Archaeological Museum is in the Plaza de Mina with the famous Phoenician anthropoid sarcophagus.
Take the opportunity to go to Bar Cumbres Mayores in the Zorrilla street to drink a glass of beer with tapas of ham or meat.
(7) Beach of La Caleta and Castillo de San Sebastián. La Caleta is a landmark for Cadiz, located in the historic center, it was natural port that anchored Phoenicians, Carthaginians and Romans ships. The most characteristic feature is the urban setting of great beauty, which stand out for their architecture Balneario de Nuestra Señora de la Palma and the Royal and defensive fortifications.
On the beach there are several bars where you can taste the "fried fish" (1) or other tapas. Meanwhile you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the numerous fishing boats and in the background the Castle of Santa Catalina and San Sebastian Castle where the classical tradition says that there is located in the Old Age, Phoenician temple of Moloch / Kronos. Today the castle functions as an exhibition space, to get in you have to follow a nice walk along a narrow road with the sea on both sides.
8) Catamaran to Puerto de Santa María. You can board in the commercial port and crosses the Cadiz’s Bay to the nearby town of El Puerto de Santa María.
For two or more people, buy a travel card with it may go to the round trip and comes cheaper.
Transportation card also serves to intercity buses.
In El Puerto de Santa María, you can enjoy a good seafood in Romerijo or some fried fish and tapas at the bar De Gonzalo, both are in the center. You can also attend a wine tasting at one of its many wineries.
