- The accommodation
Set of two houses overlooking the sea, with large terraces & heated 12 meter long swimming pool set in a quiet residential area in the Tauro Valley in Gran Canaria, within walking distance from food shops & golf courses. Nearest shopping center is only a 5-minute drive away.
The houses lie in the Tauro Valley of Gran Canaria, overlooking the Anfi Tauro Golf Resort and the sea, within short driving distance of Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, Puerto Rico, Arguineguín and Puerto Mogan. The islands inland is also well-worth seeing, with beautiful wooded highlands in the north and northwest of the islands. I recommend day outings to see Cruz de Tejeda, Tamadaba, Pico de Las Nieves, and Roque Nuble, just to mention a few spots.
- Activities and attractions
Beaches, sand dunes and water sports all within a 15 minute drive.
Those fond of trekking and daily walks will be glad to know that highlands at the back of the houses are a favorite for the local.

Clean, quiet area from Antanas Greifen 22/Sep/2014 (period of stay: August 2014)
Hello we stayed at this Villa for 9 days in September 2014.Villa is about 30 min drive from airport. We were 6 adults and 2 kids ( 4 and 8 years ) ,but it can easily accommodate another 2 teenagers. The owner Michael is very friendly and very helpfull. Villa is located in very quiet area in the middle of nowhere. There is SPAR supermarket and bar "Tauro Grill" where barmen makes terrible cocktails , no more bars or shops are near by. Car is essential if you are staying in this villa otherwise you will be stranded. Villa itself is very well equipped, bedrooms are really nice and big, plenty of wardrobes, 2 bedrooms have a safe to keep documents , money and etc safe. Flat TV with 100`s of channels from different countries. Kitchen is very well equipped too.The best asset of villa is outside terrace with wind and sun protectors and rollers if you want more privacy, outside area is massive, we spend all the time outside by the pool, cooking BBQ and sipping drinks. Pool is descent size and water was very warm without heating.Nearest beach is about 5 min drive by car. The best closest place to go in evening for a meal or entertainment is Puerto Rico where you will find plenty of bars, shops, night clubs and very very nice beach. Awesome Amadores beach is also very near by, maybe 10 min drive at the most. The only problems we experiences is that outside area is very very slippery when is wet so you have to be extra careful not to slip ( but we all did ) and the swimming pool design is not greatest. Trimmings around window at the bottom of the pool is very sharp, all of us we had some sort of cuts, some very minor some more severe ( so make sure you bring plasters ) its possible to make jumps in to from the elevation ( kids loved that ) but you need to be careful not to hit pool stairs as the stairs are right in the middle . Villa has no air con inside and when we stayed at night time was so hot some of us ended sleeping outside on the sun loungers. You can order fresh bread and croissants to be delivered to your door every morning. Overall we all liked our stay and i would come back or i would recommend it to other people, but the owner definitely have something to do with the pool window frame to make it safe as you really need to watch out if dont want to get injured.Thank you for villa Michael , we had nice holiday. We would rate it 10/10 but because of that dodgy window frame in the pool and very slippery tiles outside we give 7 out of 10.
5 stars from Svetlana and Evgeny 19/Jan/2014 (period of stay: January 2014)
The villa is equipped with all we needed and even more :) fully met our expectations. The owner is friendly. The neighbors are good, nice, calm and comfortable place.
Some Problems from Mark Frost 12/Feb/2013 (period of stay: January 2013)
we have just returned and need to let other travellers know, around the swimming pool was very very slippy, we had to buy rubber swim shoes for all the kids as they all slipped/fell, all of us were in and out of the pool which left the surrounding area wet, I would suggest some type of non-slip matting around the pool area.
The upstairs part of the Villa gave electric shocks when using the shower, the whole Villa has no earth, the hot water tanks for both parts of the villa are attached to the exterior wall, with the electric cables hanging down and the tank Itself only covered by a piece of wood.
All the patio/sliding doors are not marked, all our party at some time banged into them, you may well say its your own fault which it is but no markings at eye level, and as I found out myself the glass is not shatter proof, I walked into it on the last night and the lounge entrance door smashed, I was extremely lucky only to cut my hands and wrists.
The upstairs dishwasher was not working, when reported it was replaced 4 days later, the outside grills did not work, dont use the washer and dryer together as the trip switches will go.
As other travelleres have commented the very strange window looking into the swimming pool, I used my son's mask to look into the accommadation, there is someone's living area that looks into the pool, I saw a lounge, bedroom & kitchen, there is also a window covered with a blind on the bottom of the pool.
Why would this be built in this way when renting out to paying guests, why not have a blind so either party cannot see either way, It made all of our party of 10 very uncomfortable.
The Villa is very peaceful and perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding area's, the Spa shop has everything you will need and a reasonable price, around 10am each morning you will hear a lady with a loud speaker in a red van, she is selling fresh bread, cakes and croissants (massive ones) well worth having a look.
The restaurants in Puerto Rico and Amadores were a perfect way to eat, the kids were on the beach, lunch and dinner whilst we were sat in the restaurant, the kids were safe all the restaurants were right on the beach.
We had an excellant holiday but with a few safety issues which did spoil our holiday a bit
Great place from Ronald en Saskia 04/Mar/2011 (period of stay: February 2011)
We have stayed in this villa for one week in febr 2011. Everything was handled correctly. The place was clean and well equiped. Very nice pool which offers anough space for a familily allthough I don't think the temperature was realy 26 degrees. The pictures don't do justice to the real view you've got from the terasse. You can actually see the sea :) The sunsets from the terasse are beautifull. A small supermarket for your daily needs is on a 5 minutes drive distance. This villa offers all the privacy you need. The road above is no problem at all. This is a very quiet dead-end street which only leads to a couple of houses further upp on the road.
Great holiday, lovely big heated pool from Leanne Hall 03/Jan/2011 (period of stay: December 2010)
As a family with 3 small children (age 7, 4 and 2), this house was perfect. It has a large terrace area with plenty of room to run around and a very nice heatedool. All the bedrooms open onto the terrace, the pool cover is automatic and the house has all the amentities you need to make it home from home. The Tauro area is very quiet but you definietely need a car to get out and about. Puerto Rico was just 5 minutes away and the beautiful Amadores beach even closer. Friends of ours rented the upper house at the same time which worked perfectly. Each family had
its privacy yet we were close to each other. The owner Mikael was very responsive and helpful. We would certainly rent again.
