The property consists of 2 bedrooms, living room with dining area, american kitchen, bathroom, glazed balcony and patio. Well equipped including AC in the living room and WIFI connection. The community has a nice swimming pool area. Located close to Parque de Las Naciones and Habaneras shopping center. The nearest beach is just 10 minutes by walking.

Setting

The old salt-mining and fishing town of torrevieja lies at an hour’s drive to the south of alicante. Over the last decades torrevieja has grown tremendously, in the 1960s there were still only 10.000 inhabitants.
Nowadays there aren´t so many fishing cooperatives left, but salt-mining is still very active. Freighters regularly transport salt all over the world from the port of torrevieja. For those who are interested in the local history, visit the museum of salt and sea containing the submarine s61, located in the centre of torrevieja.
During the last decade torrevieja has grown from a little town of 30.000 to a city of 100.000 inhabitants. During easter 2005 the first shopping centre of the city was opened. The name of the shopping centre, habaneras, was taken from local history.
Around the salt lakes there is a beautiful nature reserve where you can see hundreds of bird species and unique vegetation. In torrevieja has 5 beautiful beaches, namely: playa de la mata, playa de los locos, playa del cura, playa del acequión and playa de los naufragos. Along the promenade of the paseo maritimo you can find many excellent restaurants with great seafood.
According to the world health organisation torrevieja is one of the healthiest places to live in the world, because of its location between two large salt lakes and the mediterranean sea.
Torrevieja (centre)
located at 45km south from alicante, torrevieja has good connections to alicante and nearby coastal towns such orihuela (costa) and benidorm by car or by public transport. There is a direct bus service between torrevieja and alicante airport.

Easiest way to get around the city is by walk and you can find several different cafes, restaurants and shops on almost every street. There is a big marina and a lovely long promenade with lots of restaurants and a few excellent beaches right next to the centre, all within walking distance.

You can also rent a car, but during the peak tourist season (june-september) it can be hard to find parking in the city centre. Taxis are a good option and easy to get. There is also a good bus line connecting the most important parts of torrevieja.
You can find all the shops and other amenities of the city centre close by, and within walking distance there are also shopping centre habaneras and large supermarket carrefour.

Activities and attractions

Costa Blanca is an excellent place for enjoying a relaxing holiday by the beach and the area also offers fabulous opportunities for various outdoor activities from water sports to golf. In fact, some of Europe’s best golf courses are found here. There is so much to do and explore in the area, for example the Castle of Santa Barbara in Alicante with breathtaking views over the city and its beautiful marina is a definite must see! There are also several water parks and other amusement parks in the area, such as Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia and Terranatura (animals) in Benidorm, definitely worth visiting on your holiday, especially if you are with children!

City of Elche has incredible cultural assets, which have also been recognized by UNESCO in their World Heritage List. Elche proudly holds 3 World Heritage declarations, the first one received in 2000. They are respectively the Palm Grove (largest in Europe), the Mystery Play of Elche and the Museum of Pusol. The medieval Mystery Play of Elche has been playing since its first performance in the 15th Century. It is performed inside the Basilica of Santa Mariá. Also Rio Safari is worth while to visit with children.
