The accommodation

A modern, 1st floor apartment which can accommodate 5 people, in the heart of Les Houches. Perfect for a family or anyone looking for winter excitement or summer fun.

This sunny, 2 bedroom, apartment has one private balcony leading off the comfortable living room. The wooden-panelled living room has a cosy sofa, plus a dining table which seats 6 people and a flat screen Smart TV. The separate kitchen is well equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, raclette, fridge and dishwasher.

Both bedrooms have French windows leading onto private balconies with mountain views.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: The master bedroom has a double bed, a large wardrobe with hanging space and drawers.
Bedroom 2: Contemporary style room with a bunk bed and a 3rd pull out single bed and a wardrobe. There is also a box of various games.
All the beds have duvets and pillows

Setting

Location
Centrally located, but on a quiet side street, “Les Sapins” is right by the Lac des Chavants, 50m from the Prarion cable car station and the ski slopes.

The children’s ski school (ESF) is just at the end of the road. Ski hire and the bakery are 50m away. The ice-skating rink is just a 25 minute walk, and there is a special children’s sledging area nearby. The ski lifts, slopes and ski shuttle bus are all very close, as are the amenities – shops, restaurants and bars.

In the summer, the Lac Des Chavants, next to the apartment, offers multiple activities – a rock climbing area, picnic tables, BBQ’s, walking and cycling paths and fishing. There are also tennis courts close by and even a book swapping depot in an old telephone box.

The Prarion cable car takes visitors up to the plateau which offers superb views over Mont Blanc, or you can take a bicycle up to access the high mountain bike routes.

Central Chamonix is just 15 minutes’ drive away. Geneva airport is 65 minutes away by car. The Mont Blanc Express stops at Les Houches station for a free rail service in the Chamonix Valley.

Activities and attractions

The apartment is particularly good for families, as the children’s ski school is just across the road. Although a car is not needed there is private parking underneath the residence and additional parking across the street.
