The fame of Posada is due to the Castello della Fava, the medieval fortress that dominates the city from the top of a hill, probably originally used as a summer residence for judges and nobles. The other attractions of Posada are all related to the scenic beauty of the area. One of these natural wonders is the Tepilora Regional Natural Park, crossed by mountain biking, trekking and horse riding routes with a backdrop on the limestone massif of Montalbo. The historic center of Posada is located on the slopes of a hill, but the city territory extends to the coast. The closest beach to the center is Spiaggia di Su Tiriarzu: easily accessible by car or with a walk of about half an hour and equipped with all services, it is perfect for those who love comfort. It is a beach of golden sand with medium grains bathed by a green-blue sea, surrounded by dense vegetation. From the beach you can enjoy a beautiful view of the medieval village. The seabed slopes slowly for a first stretch, then descends rapidly. A natural continuation of Orvile beach, Iscraios is a medium-large sand beach, smaller and more solitary. If instead from Posada you go south, the first beautiful beach you will meet is that of Spiaggia di San Giovanni; if you are willing to move more you can reach La Caletta, a beautiful beach nestled between the rocks located in the municipality of Siniscola.
