The owner´s comments
Country House called “Casa da Estalagem”, placed in the small village of Fataúnços, near the mountain of Lafão, in the heart of Lafões. This village is full of ancient and noble houses.
You can enjoy nature, overwhelming landscapes, roads into the mountain where you can wander, and you can also take advantage of the healing, hot water, from one of the most well known termal centres within Europe.
Furthermore, the astonishing typical dishes and a wide variety of conventual deserts offered by many Restaurants and Pubs.

Thank you Jorge! Your comforteble house is good equipped, the garden is wunderfull. we could park our car in the garden, very good. The gamesroom sepearate from the house in the garden was an execelent cousy place in the evening to play pool and listening to music. And have a fire!
we realy enoyed staying at your house.
We made a nice roundtrip secondairy roads to Lamego and the river more north, nice bridges!, than along the river, a beautiful road (N222),than turn right N323 towards Tabuaco, towards Barragem do Vilar, a lake with beautifull vieuw!!!
Jorge, we recommend your place to anyone who wants to visits the north of Portugal, for sure.
In Nederlands: Jorge heeft het goed voor elkaar! voor een zeer redelijke prijs heb je een huisje, drie kamers bovenelkaar, wel trap lopen dus, maar heel gezellig en een zeer ruime slaapkamer, met ruime bedden. badkamers goed in orde! maar vooral de tuin, het zitje erin en de buitengewoon gezellig ingerichte ruimte met pooltafel, open haard en muziekinstallatie (aan te raden om zelf wat cds mee te nemen) in de tuin, echt aan te bevelen!!! romantisch, prive!

Casa da Estalagem is a fantastic place to stay for a holiday. My wife and I stayed there for 10 days in July and had a really wonderful time. The small village of Fataúnços is well located, there are number of places to visit nearby such as the charming town of Vouzela, and within a 1 hour drive you can get to the beach near Averio and Oporto and within 2 hours the mountains of the Serra da Estrela, a great place to go walking. Locally there are good places to eat and there is a friendly tourist office in Vouzela (about a 5 minute drive) that can give advice of things to do.
The owner Jorge is very warm and friendly and has created a very beautiful house. Its spacious and clean, the garden is well kept with a table, chairs and hammocks, the games room is amazing and has a cards and pool table. Its a great place to get away.

It is the house we could ever dream of. It locates in such a friendly and beautiful town with very nice people. We have been there for our honeymoon and we spent a great great time! Wonderful food in the restarant too. The house is comfortable and fully equiped, the owner is so friendly and kind. Many thanks to you, Jorge. We like to return :)
