Luxury apartment by the sea

Hello from Dublin. My wife Joan and I spent an idyllic week in this beautiful apartment in St Esteban de Pravia in June 2018. Firstly the apartment was clean, well serviced, fully equipped and spacious, with a large sitting room/dining room with commanding views over the scenic river, and the village square...with two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dressing room and a utility room and large hallway. The apartment has literally on its doorstep charming village restaurants which can be seen each day catering for tired el camino travellers and tourists. the village is a delight and one can walk to the village grocers each day for very tasty fresh bread, fresh fruit and vegetables,...all at very low prices. (please buy they locally produced cherries!) Some five minutes away in the car is the exquisite white sandy beach - El Alquilar - with its little cafe overlooking the crashing Atlantic waves. This place is not to be missed in sunny and even not so sunny weather. Other places not to be missed are Cudillero and Avilles. St Esteban de Pravia itself is a very interesting place with a great world war 2 history, a quaint little train, a major swimming pool complex, and great facilities for maritime and fishing activities. I just wanted to thank you for a fabulous rental in San Esteban. The apartment and location were both stunning and I really fell in love with Asturias and also the very friendly people I found in San Esteban. Rocio was so kind and helpful and made all my check-in arrangements very easy and straightforward. I also want to thank you personally for organising the Internet device (which I left in the apartment with Rocio). It was very efficient and helped me a great deal. The apartment is well situated with lots of restaurants, bars and local shops where you can find everything you need for your holiday. The local swimming pool is a 10 minute walk away which is a 50 m seawater pool with a restaurant/bar close by. The apartment is beautifully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen/appliances. I highly recommend this apartment.

We stayed for 1 week in May/June 2016. The apartment is airy and spacious, with views over the estuary and the mountains. It was spotlessly clean, and well equipped. San Esteban is a very pleasant and quiet small town, and the apartment is well located above good bars and restaurants. Pebbly beaches a walk away, and sandy ones a short drive. We would definitely stay there again. Minor housekeeping points: More crockery and cutlery would enable the dishwasher to be filled before use. We couldn't make the oven work, Shower rail needs attention.
