The accommodation

The Pian delle Betulle Hut is located in Margno, in the province of Lecco, among the Alps that rise from Lake Como, above Bellano, more precisely in upper Valsassina. The lake can be seen in the splendid views and is about a half-hour journey.
The apartment features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower, hairdryer and towels, a TV, 1 living room with a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchenette with ceramic hobs.
The wooden furniture represents the mountain style, it is bright during the day and comfortable in the evening, when, after a day, you can relax. There are social games available to spend time together unlike city distractions.
The building has a laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer and a room used as a ski deposit.
The place offers the opportunity to relax, to take walks immersed in nature, to practice sports (tennis, football, basketball, skiing and skating), to have lunch or dinner with typical dishes or with an excellent pizza (in the restaurants-pizzerias in the area) , enjoy the meadows of the mountain pastures eating in the bag or in the various shelters
There is also a terrace. The Pian delle Betulle Hut is located very close to the ski slopes and is located in an ideal area for skiing.
Lugano is 50 km from the property. La Capanna di Pian delle Betulle is 74 km from Orio al Serio International Airport, the nearest airport.

Setting

The apartment is located in Pian delle Betulle, nestled in the green of the pastures, at 1550 mt. Here you can find a restaurant, a pizzeria and shelters where you can have lunch with typical dishes and excellent pizza; there is a minimarket where you can do your daily shopping, a church and many meadows and woods.
You arrive at Pian delle Betulle by cable car from the Margno parking area and upon arrival the apartment is a hundred meters away, or you can park at Alpe Paglio and walk, on a fairly easy agro-pastoral road, for about 20 minutes to reach the apartment.

Activities and attractions

For visitors, Pian delle birchle offers a lot:
in all seasons you can enjoy clean air, tranquility and relaxation, very precious things nowadays, and you can practice different outdoor activities.
During the summer you can have a great time having a five-a-side football pitch, a bowling green and a basketball court for free use, instead the Jungle Rider (adventure park), the tennis court and the jumping nets are at payment.
You can also go hiking or biking along the many paths of these mountains.
During the winter you can do many activities like skiing on snow-covered slopes naturally (the area has a chairlift from 1500 to 1800 meters, a sky-lift from 1800 to 1880 and three ski slopes not artificially snow-covered, open on weekends and during the Christmas holidays), for beginners on skis or for those who use sleds or bobs there is a baby slope and an artificially snow-covered bobsleigh track with ski instructors available; and for those who like to skate on ice there is an outdoor track.
In spring, when nature awakens, you can practice activities such as mountain biking, trekking or even bird-watching and enjoy splendid views along the paths of these mountains.
From May to October, Pian delle Betulle hosts a herd of free dairy cows in the pasture and butter and typical cheese are produced in the malga.
