We stayed 7 days in the small appartment above the winery. For 2 people it's just perfect, a nice kitchen, a sleeping room with a terrace with beautiful seaview; one time we even saw dolphins swim by. Outside is the barbeque and the nice terrace-garden with vegetables we were allowed to use. At night of course, the cagarras made so much noise we couldn't sleep... Also the the village is nice and the surroundings.... the whole island is beautiful; but for us, what made the place most worthwile was the wonderful hospitality of Adelina!

What can I say about Casa du Misteria? For me, it made the difference between a great trip and a superb visit. Arthur and Vero took care of me like a family friend; they helped me plot out my visit, suggested things to do, and cooked two really great meals. Their house is perched on a hillside overlooking the ocean with a view framed by flowers, birds and an old stone house. The room I had was cute, large by Pico standards, and had plenty of light, and a perfct view of the ocean below. I felt like I was living in Pico for my stay, not just visiting a hotel. They helped me find a fine rental car for cheap, and picked me up and dropped me off at the airport. They are a loving couple and we hung around several times for a drink on their patio looking for whales, talking about all types of things. I felt welcome and wanted. Rent their place before is too late!
