A well-stocked supermarket is 900 meters from the house in Carvalhal Grande.

Activities and attractions

The Templar city of Tomar is less than 10 minutes away by car, and it offers all the shops and many tourist attractions, including the historic center and the Templar convent (plenty of documentation on site).
Nearby attractions, about a thirty-minute drive away, include: Fatima, a famous pilgrimage site; Ourem, a pretty village with its medieval castle; the river beaches on the Zèzère River; and Constancia and the Almourol Castle on its island in the middle of the Tagus.
Between 30 minutes and 1 hour: Culture lovers won't want to miss the monasteries of Batalha and Alcobaça; the village of Obidos; the Peniche peninsula; and the famous beaches of Nazaré (the big waves are in winter!).
Porto is 1.5 hours away, Lisbon 1 hour 15 minutes away.
