Laspuña is a charming small village with only about 200 inhabitants, perfect for those seeking peace, nature, and authenticity. Located in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees, in the Sobrarbe region — one of the most pristine and well-preserved areas — Laspuña is just 12 km from the beautiful medieval town of Aínsa and 35 km from the French border. It sits in the Alto Cinca valley, at the foot of the impressive Peña Montañesa. From the village itself, you can enjoy breathtaking views that captivate every visitor.

The surrounding area offers natural swimming spots very close to the village, perfect for cooling off during summer. Moreover, Laspuña is an exceptional starting point for hikers and nature lovers, with nearly 1,000 kilometers of well-marked trails that reveal unique corners, ranging from gentle family walks to more demanding routes for the adventurous.

The village is close to places of great beauty and natural value, such as the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, the Chistau Valley, the Añisclo and Escuaín Valleys. You can also explore charming nearby villages like medieval Aínsa, Bielsa, Plan, San Juan de Plan, Gistaín, Tella, and other small hamlets seemingly frozen in time, where history and tradition can be felt in every corner.

The Sobrarbe region also offers a rich cultural scene. Notable museums include the ethnographic museums of Aínsa and San Juan de Plan, the Nabatas Museum in Laspuña, the Sobrarbe UNESCO Global Geopark in Aínsa, the Witch’s House in Tella, the Museum of Musical Devices in Labuerda, and the History Museum in Bielsa, among others. For winter sports lovers, the nearest ski resorts are in France, at Piau Engaly and Saint Lary, easily accessible from Laspuña.

Thanks to the Zona Zero trail network — a pioneering project that has put Sobrarbe on the global MTB map — you can enjoy some of the best enduro and MTB routes in the Pyrenees. If you love sports and outdoor activities, you’ll find a complete sports area right in the village. It features an Olympic-size swimming pool perfect for swimming laps and a shallow pool where children can play safely, all surrounded by a large green area where you can relax in the sun. There are also paddle tennis courts (reservation required) and a tennis court, ideal for having fun with family or friends.

The surroundings are a true paradise for nature and water lovers. Near Laspuña, you can explore two stunning rivers with crystal-clear waters: the Cinca and the Ara. Along the road from Laspuña to Lafortunada, the Cinca River offers multiple natural swimming spots where you can cool off and enjoy a unique environment. Meanwhile, the Ara River has beautiful areas for swimming along the route from Boltaña to Fiscal, perfect for those seeking tranquility and a deeper connection with nature.
