The accommodation
Very attractive interior designer´s house close to ferragudo beach, with its own private swimming pool, lovely garden, pretty roof terrace and sea views. Please note that during July and August it can only be booked from Saturday to Saturday for one or two week durations. The house is near the centre of the village - perfect for dining out at the many excellent bars and restaurants in the area.
There are log fires in the winter and heating in every bedroom and bathroom so guests regularly return for winter breaks in the Algarve sunshine as well as loving its proximity to the beach in the summer time!
Setting
Casa Linda is in the area of the old windmill near the top of the village. It can be reached by walking through the pretty old cobbled streets of Ferragudo or by driving along the coast road. Because it is so close to the centre and to the beaches it is not necessary to hire a car.
Activities and attractions
Ferragudo is a pretty and unspoilt traditional fishing village. Locals and visitors gather in the village square for morning coffee, before wandering along the quayside and down cobbled alleyways to buy daily supplies from local shops or the fish market.
The lovely beaches are just 5 mins away from the square. During the summer a water taxi runs from the quayside to the lively resort of Praia da Rocha, and on Saturday evenings you will find traditional live music and dancing in the square.
Car hire is not essential as the local beach offers watersports/bars and restaurants, and there are shops, restaurants, a bank and a fish market in the village. The busy resorts of Portimao, Carvoeiro and Praia da Rocha are all within a 10 minute drive.
The historic town of Silves, mountains of Monchique, and well known attractions such as Zoomarine, Slide & Splash and the Algarve Shopping complex at Guia are only 15-20 mins drive. Golf within 5-10 mins drive.

Beautiful villa in a lovely village
My family and I stayed in this villa over the Christmas period 2013. It is a fantastic house located in a nice area only two minutes walk from the centre of the village. The owners, Dagny and David, were more than helpful in ensuring that our stay was very pleasant by providing great directions (!), recommending some restaurants and leaving guides, brochures etc in the house itself to assist in exploring the area. The house itself is very spacious, tastefully decorated, very comfortable, well equipped and just great in every way. Anyone who goes here has to enjoy themselves!
Great week in Feragudo!
Our stay in Dagny house was very, very pleasent! It turned out that the house is really greatly located, has garden with lots of shadow and small but really cool swimming pool. Great and almost empty beach is in short walking distance. The mercado with fresh fish and seafood as well. Small market 5 minutes of walk away.... Calm, beautiful village. Great place for families. What to say more .... Our trip to Portugal in general ( we spend second week near Lisbon ) was really one of the best family vacations ever ! Obrigado! ;)

It wasnt our first time in Ferragudo but it was definitely the best one. Thanks to Casa Linda! We been very confortable, house is spacious, charming, comfy, clean .. I do recommend. Its been the best place i've stayed lately. Dagny, the owner, was very nice and helpful. We will certainly book again
