The accommodation

The “horreo” is a building historically destined to the conservation of the crop, closely linked to Asturias, but also regions of Galicia, León and Cantabria.

Our family ties has led to the construction of this "hórreo", we offer for vacation rental. It is built entirely in chestnut wood, and prepared with care in order to create an appropriate atmosphere for a relaxing stay, according to an environment dominated by nature and tranquility.

You and your partner can enjoy a comfortable and intimate space, dominated by the warm aroma of chestnut wood, which has nothing to do with anything else you have ever known.

The top is distributed in a double room, a sitting room with sofa bed and bathroom fitted with corner bath. In the living room stands a kitchenette that includes a microwave, refrigerator and sink. There is no cooktop in this kitchenette.

It is designed to house two people, although it is possible to use the sofa bed or a travel cot, we can provide.

On the terrace at the lower part has a second kitchenette with induction hob, sink and washing machine.
Enjoy the corridor around the perimeter and the surrounding garden with furniture for the purpose.

You will have products of personal hygiene (gel, shampoo, soap, shaved ....) and cleaning materials, as well clean changes of sheets for the bed and towels. Also provided are two bicycles, to enjoy a valley bike ride.

Setting

The accommodation is located in the large garden of 2000 m2, closed perimeter with a tall vegetal fence, which is the residence of the family home owners, and provided with fully independent access and absolute autonomy from it.

Trasmiera is located in, in the Hazas de Cesto - Solórzano valley, who has maintained the traditional typology of agricultural and livestock areas of Cantabria.

Activities and attractions

The accommodation and location, invites a relaxed, very suitable to enjoy cycling in the valley (the CA-266 has a bike lane) and mid-mountain routes, very attractive landscaping that may include the neighboring valleys of Vote, or Entrambasaguas Ruesga. To do this, we offer you two bikes, you can see in the pictures.

Its excellent location and access to the Cantabrian motorway, allows easy and fast displacement by the beautiful geography of Cantabria. For example:

- We have Santander in 25 minutes, with all its wide range of cultural, tourist and entertainment, also at night.
- In 20 minutes we can enjoy Santoña and its marshes, Noja, Isla and Laredo with its beaches, and Castro Urdiales.
- In 30 minutes we can choose between visiting the park Natural de los Collados del Ason and nature park Cabárceno.
At only 60 minutes you can visit:
- The Caves Soplao, San Vicente de la Barquera, Comillas and Santillana del Mar.
- Bilbao, with a host of cultural activities: Guggenheim, BEC., Leisure and commercial available.
