One of the best locations I have ever gone to. This rental is very unique because of its location. It is situated in natural park and makes you feel that you own piece of your own land in Spain. The views from the house are spectacular and very "relaxing". The house itself is very nice and spacious and perfect for 8-10 people (I mean 4-5 couples, so every couple gets own room, when you travel with children, you can surely go with larger group). The house was clean and everything worked. As it was mentioned in the ad the road to town is rocky, but if you rent berlingo or kangoo it becomes entertainment and fun. It took us 10-15min to get to Tarifa downtown, but going down that road, looking at the views you don't really care about time. Very good addition to the house is the swimming pool which is pretty big and was cleaned everyday by the owner. Really good place to cool down after warm day on the beach. The owner, Andrew, is very helpful person. On the first day he showed us around and also guided on best beaches, restaurants, clubs, trips etc. We spent there 10 days, in the group of 11 and no one complained. An overall, I would highly recommend this villa as well as Tarifa for your stay. There was only one problem: Our vacation was too short:)

This wonderful house provided a great location for me to prepare for my swim across the Gibraltar Straits earlier this month. With spectacular views across the ‘Estrecho’ to the Atlas mountains in Morocco, it was a perfect place for me and my team to stay for two weeks around my swim from Europe to Africa.

The house oozes rustic charm and provides a tranquil retreat for families and larger groups on one of the most stunning coastlines in Europe. Despite its remote location, all mod cons are provided including dishwasher, satellite TV, CD player, etc. Due to its remote location, the house relies on renewable energy sources including its own windmill so there’s no air con, but the sea breeze and design of the house keeps it cool throughout the day.

Located in a stunning national park, the house is surrounded by coastal tracks and an abundance of wild flowers when we were there. The views from the vast roof terrace are breathtaking (particularly at sunset), the swimming pool overlooking the Straits provides perfect relief from the heat amidst the tinkle of roaming cows’ bells on the mountainside and the view from the loo in the spacious annexe must be one of the best in the world!

For anyone who loves the sea, it’s a perfect spot to watch the constantly changing conditions and passing traffic as over 350 commercial ships, yachts and ferries negotiate the relatively narrow stretch of water connecting the Atlantic and the Mediterranean every day.

I’d recommend hiring a 4x4 vehicle to access the house as the track is rocky. We did manage with a Corsa but it’d be a lot easier in a vehicle with higher clearance, and there’d be the option to take a shorter route into Tarifa.

Every Tuesday night, there’s a party with live music in the national park organised by a cooperative of local musicians within walking distance of the house towards Tarifa – definitely worth the walk. And I’d also recommend going on a whale dolphin watching tour – we saw dozens of pilot whales on a trip with local operator firmm.

All in all, a pretty spectacular house in an incredible location.
