The accommodation
The charming Villa Al Andaluz is located halfway between the towns of Moraira and Calpe, only 700 metres as the crow flies from the sea. Ideal if you travel with a large family or friends and everyone values their privacy. You are always alone on the property.
The two beautiful sandy beaches Cala de la Fustera and Cala Pinets can be reached on foot from the accommodation in only 10 minutes. By car you reach the small, rock-fringed bathing bay Cala Pinets with a small sandy beach and idyllic rock terrace after about 1.3 km. The popular and somewhat larger bathing bay Cala de la Fustera with a sandy beach, toilets and a small restaurant is approx. 1.4 km away from the house by car. The two bays are connected by an idyllic hiking trail, which continues south to Calpe.
Smaller restaurants and a supermarket (ALGI) can be found in approx. 1 km distance at the main road, which leads along the sea (Avenida de la Marina).
Villa Al Andaluz is located on an almost flat plot of 1.042 sqm in a very quiet residential area at the end of a dead end street. Only to the pool and to the apartment below a few wide stairs lead down. A beautifully laid out garden that has grown over many decades is characterised by lush vegetation and southern fruit trees such as lemons, oranges, pomegranates and avocados; as well as various seating areas with Andalusian elements (arches, lamps, fountains). From the kitchen a door leads to a Moorish-style covered dining area for 8-10 people, which is equipped with outdoor lighting, fan and electricity. Adjacent is a barbecue table. Here you can prepare delicious meals and end the evenings in a relaxed holiday atmosphere.
With the exception of the gated entrance area, the entire property and the pool area are almost not visible from the outside and are surrounded by a wall.
The main house has 190 m², which are distributed on 2 levels. On the ground floor there is a large living-dining area with a wide semi-circular window front, which offers impressive views of the Sierra Bernia and the Olta massif. In the living area there is a large, round dining area for 8-10 people, various sofas and seating areas, as well as a TV corner. From a spacious hallway on the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with walk-in shower and the kitchen. Inside the house a curved staircase leads to the two upper bedrooms with the spacious bathroom with walk-in shower in between. Both bedrooms have access to a large balcony which has room for a table, but also sun beds. On this balcony you can enjoy the sun all day long and look out over the sea and the Penon de Ifach.
The 2upper bedrooms area is ideal for a couple with a smaller child, as access to the smaller bedroom is only possible through the master bedroom.
Between the pool and the garage there is a 30 m² apartment. This can be booked optionally. The apartment consists of a living room with sofa and coffee table, with adjoining kitchenette with stove and refrigerator, a bedroom with double bed (140 x 200 cm) and a private bathroom with walk-in shower. Bedroom, living room and kitchen have a window to the pool. As the apartment is situated a little lower and has smaller windows, it is not as bright as in the main house, but it is pleasantly cool in summer.
You are always alone on the property.

Not barred, 1 side with anti-mosquito net, bathroom en suite. 1 single bedroom, bed 0,90 wide x 1,80m long, mirror, wardrobe in the corridor in front, door to the balcony. Window with outside blind and anti-mosquito blinds. Both bedrooms with A/C.
This single bedroom can only be reached via the large bedroom and the bathroom located between the two rooms. Both bedrooms have a French door out onto the balcony. Suitable for parents and child.
Bathroom: 2, downstairs bathroom with walk-in shower, WC, bidet, washbasin with base cabinet, large white cupboard, electric towel rail for heating. Windows with anti-mosquito blinds and grille.

Large entrance corridor, on the right with niche with clothes rail. From the hallway you go right to the kitchen, straight on to the living room, left to the bathroom and the two bedrooms.
Living/dining room: generous angled area with a round wooden dining table and 8 chairs, large wooden/glass cabinet and a wine rack. To the left is a two-seater sofa, rectangular coffee table and flat screen TV. The living area facing the pool is separated by round arches and is furnished with two two-seater sofas and an upholstered sofa. There are small, blue awnings outside the living room windows, as well as A/C in the living room. Views of the Sierra Bernia in Benissa and the Olta massif in Calpe.
Separate, fully equipped kitchen, cooking island with three seats, a folding glass door leads out onto the barbecue terrace. The kitchen is bright and friendly as it has 2 windows and the French door.
Sun terrace: by the pool, barely overlooked, with two permanently installed Ibiza sunshades.
Covered terrace: next to the kitchen, with beautiful Andalusian-style walls and windows, closed on 2 sides, open to the barbecue area, with large table and 8 chairs. Balcony: in front of the upper 2 bedrooms, with views of the sea and the Penon de Ifach, there are two awnings, equipped with round table and 2 chairs.
Pool: kidney-shaped, 10m long, 3m wide at the steps, 5m wide at the back, depth: approx. 1.20m to 2m, with Roman steps and hot water outdoor shower.
Garden: covered lounge area next to the pool, furnished with garden sofa and 2 armchairs. Garden around the house, lushly planted with large, old palm trees, rubber tree, fig, olive tree, apricot tree, citrus fruits, medlar trees, bougainvillea.
Car/parking: Parking on the property for 2 cars. In the garage there is a washing machine, tumble dryer and a table for sorting laundry.

Cooker: Cooking island with 3 gas hobs, separate electric oven, fridge with 3-drawer freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, Senseo coffee pod machine, toaster, electric kettle, sink. Washing machine and tumble dryer in the garage, iron/ironing board.
SAT-TV German/Astra 1, flat screen 50 inch (130 diagonal). Illuminated barbecue area in front of the covered terrace with barbecue table and paella gas ring and paella pans; 10 garden chairs and 2 tables, 9 garden loungers, 2 sunshades.
In the main flat, all 4 bedrooms and the living room are equipped with A/C. The studio has no A/C.
The flat is heated with oil central heating. The same applies to the main flat, with the exception of the bedrooms and the bathroom on the 1st floor, but here there is A/C with heating function in both bedrooms. Thanks to the sunny balcony and the large floor-to-ceiling windows, the sun warms these two rooms pleasantly. The bathroom upstairs is equipped with an electric radiator. There is a fireplace with a heating cassette in the living room.
Small apartment downstairs: Ceramic hob with 3 rings, microwave with grill, sink, refrigerator with freezer compartment.
Internet access: fibreglass flat rate, speed approx. 100 MB, free of charge.
Setting
Quiet residential area, in an dead end. The Villa Al Andaluz is located halfway between the towns of Moraira and Calpe in the coastal strip of Benissa. The house is about 700 m as the crow flies from the sea. The two beautiful sandy beaches, Cala de la Fustera and Cala Pinets of Benissa can be easily reached on foot. You cross the street Parador, which leads down to the main road from Calpe to Moraira; there is an immediate footpath with stone steps down to both beaches: left to Pinet and right to Fustera. This is the shortest and most beautiful footpath to the two coves and it is only about 700m and 800m from the house. By car you reach the small, rock-fringed bathing bay Cala Pinets with a small sandy beach and idyllic rock terrace after approx. 1 km. Also about 1 km from the house is the popular and somewhat larger bathing bay Cala de la Fustera with a sandy beach, toilets and a small restaurant. Both bays are connected by an idyllic hiking trail, which leads to the other side to Calpe.
Calpe, Cala Les Bassetes is about 2,5 km away with diving school, catamaran and kayaks, as well as 2 restaurants built directly into the rocks at the sea. Playa de la Fossa, big sandy beach, about 4,5 km away.
Smaller restaurants and a supermarket (ALGI) can be found about 1 km away on the main road along the sea (Avenida de la Marina). Calpe to the big Mercadona supermarket about 4 km, Aldi and Lidl about 6 km.
In Calpe centre there are many shops, many supermarkets, cafes and restaurants; on Saturday there is a big weekly market where you can buy clothes, flowers, fruits and vegetables. The two large sandy beaches of Calpe with a beautiful promenade and partly ancient ruins are easy to reach via the main road. Altea with its beautiful old town, many restaurants and shops is about 14 km away.

Give yourself and your family and friends a holiday treat, where you decide everything yourself. When to get up, at what time to have breakfast, no scrambling to get sunbeds at the pool. Spend your day relaxed at the pool, or jog along the almost empty beach in the morning, have your first coffee in one of the nice beach cafés, and then go on to play golf, go rock climbing, or scuba diving. Built sand castles with your children on the beach or drive with them to Benidorm to one of the great theme parks, or to the Safari park in El Vergel. Enjoy the opera in Valencia and the great museums of the "Ciuad de Ciencia".
The little towns Denia and Els Poblets, Javea, Moraira, Benissa, Calpe and Altea have a lot to offer - all year long and for all ages, and wellness for free. From the airports Alicante and Valencia your reach the towns easily through motorway AP7 in about 1 hour.

Springs first herald is the almond blossom at the end of January, followed by the orange blossom in March. In the surrounding mountains spring and fall are the best time for walks or long hikes, or motorbike tours. The small villages along the way invite with original Spanish cuisine to linger and enjoy the moment.
Medieval churches and castles are waiting for you to be visited. Fascinating caves and flowstone caves are to be discovered. Also, from the occupation of the Moors many historical evidences are conserved.
Mile long sandy beaches alternate with spectacular steep coasts. Most of the beaches are certified with the blue flag, which means a superior quality of the water, clean and tended beaches; life-guards of the Red Cross are watching the beaches and some of them are certified beaches with special water vehicles for disabled people. Bathing season starts in the middle of May unitl beginning/end of October (water temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius).
There is also a wide range of all different kinds of water sports to choose from: swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, surfing, sailing, water skiing, jet skiing, kite surfing, fishing etc. There are excellent 9 and 18 hole golf courses, horse back riding, tennis, para-gliding and more. All towns at the Costa Blanca have their own Marina. You will find more details under "sailing/diving".
Sea promenades invite you to stroll and feast. In the Bodegas you will enjoy the wine of the region straight from the barrel and the numerous Spanish "Fiestas" invite you to celebrate and have fun. Children are welcome guests at the Costa Blanca.
The colorful weekly markets with fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables and the "Ecotiendas" - organic food shops, offer everything to get to know the vegan Spanish cuisine.
Nightlife in the Costa Blanca region never ends – after 10 p.m. many pubs and Flamenco bars open their doors, past midnight the discos/clubs kick off. Benidorms nightlife and dancing shows are very attractive, too.
Even in winter season you can go swimming at indoor pools, for sample: Oliva, Piscina Municpal and Oliva Golf Course; Denia, Club Nautico; Benissa: public indoor pool, Calpe, Hotel Esmeralda; Altea, Hotel Melia Altea Hills. Most times there is also a spa or a sauna there.
