They are usually very crowded and the life of the neighborhood and that of the big city pass through them at the same time. The rest of its streets are narrow and alive, some pedestrianized, perfect for wandering around.
The Plaza del Dos de Mayo is perhaps the nerve center of Malasaña. Manuela Malasaña Street is very popular for giving its name to the neighborhood. Also because it houses some important establishments such as the Teatro Maravillas and the Casa Maravillas brewery.
