Tolfa is an ancient medieval village perched on the Tolfa Mountains, in the Metropolitan City of Rome.

It is renowned for its rich history, traditional leather craftsmanship — especially the iconic “catana,” the historic bag of the local cowboys (butteri) — and its vibrant cultural scene, with events such as Tolfarte and Tolfa Jazz.

The area, of volcanic origin, preserves Etruscan and Roman traces and was once an important mining center.
