The accommodation

This apartment is located in a historic building from the 1920s within Ostia’s pedestrian zone and features a sea-view terrace. The building boasts distinctive decorative details and a coat of arms reflecting the era of its construction; it is one of Ostia’s historic landmarks, and the square has served as a filming location for movies by renowned directors.
It is the ideal choice for those who love diving into Ostia’s vibrant evening nightlife or simply enjoying a morning breakfast—perhaps a traditional *krapfen* (doughnut)—by the seaside.
The historic building features dual entrances: one facing the pedestrian square and another at the rear, where residents can enjoy a shared courtyard. The main entrance, through a wooden doorway, leads into a foyer featuring a distinctive period chandelier and unique tile mosaics. The apartment has been recently renovated and includes a living room with a double sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen area. It also features a double bedroom and a bathroom with a shower and washing machine.
The apartment is tastefully furnished and fully equipped to ensure a pleasant stay. The kitchenette is well-stocked, allowing you to cook whatever you like; we even provide tableware suitable for children. We have set up a coffee station with both an electric coffee maker (for ground coffee) and a traditional Moka pot. In the tea corner, you will find an electric kettle, a selection of tea and herbal infusion bags, and sugar. The 40-square-meter panoramic terrace offers stunning views of the sea and the pedestrian zone and is fully furnished with a table and chairs, an outdoor seating area, and sun loungers. A motorized double awning provides shade during the hottest hours of the day. The terrace features plants and flowers arranged in zones to create small islands of greenery, making it visually vibrant with color.

Setting

The neighborhood is truly beautiful and charming at any time of year. You will find various shops and many local bars and restaurants where you can enjoy excellent fresh fish, traditional pasta dishes, top-quality meat, and a variety of pizzas and *piadinas*. The seafront offers relaxing walks—either along the road or right on the beach—leading to the local marina, which also features several restaurants.

Activities and attractions

A local market is just a 10-minute walk away (held every Wednesday and Saturday morning), offering clothing, assorted goods, and fresh fruit. Also within a 10-minute walk, you will find a 24-hour Carrefour supermarket and a large market for fruit, vegetables, and meat (open Monday through Saturday mornings). A pharmacy and banks are located just steps from the house. The "Lido Centro" train station is a 5-minute walk away, providing a connection to Rome in just 30 minutes.
