The accommodation

The studio is situated right next to my own house, upstairs, with beautiful look above the garden and rural surrounding

Setting

The Casa Maringa Studio is situated in the quiet and rural surrounding of Almargens, about 4km from the town São Brás de Alportel. From the studio you look down into a really beautiful garden, which is particularly pretty during spring time. Guests are welcome to stroll through the garden or sit a while at the pond.
The easiest way to reach the studio is by car, but there are also buses going to São Bras de Alportel and from there one can either walk or take a taxi.

Activities and attractions

The surrounding area of the beautiful Serra de Calderão offers plenty of walking and hiking opportunities in pure nature and there is a lovely little river nearby.
The town of São Bras de Alportel is quiet, but very pleasant and friendly, with lots of cafés and restaurants, a museum, art gallery, a weekly market, several supermarkets and smaller shops.
Of course it is also not far to other nice towns in the Eastern Algarve, such as Faro, Loulé, Estoi, Tavira and Olhão.
Regarding beaches you have got a big choice - either onto one of the islands (the closest is right behind Faro airport) towards the East or to the rocky coast towards the West (about 40min drive).
