Setting

The eclipse will happen at sunset, very low on the western horizon. To get an unobstructed view, we recommend driving (5-10 minutes) or walking to these open, elevated spots:Virgen de las Viñas Hermitage Viewpoint: A high, clear area located right within the town.Ribera Fields (towards Castrillo de la Vega / Valladolid): Following the N-122 highway heading west, you will find rural paths perfect for parking and setting up observation gear.

.🍷 Where to Eat and Enjoy ArandaLechazo Asado (Roast Suckling Lamb): You must try the local lamb cooked in traditional wood-fired ovens. We highly recommend booking well in advance at Asador Casa Florencio, Mesón El Pastor, or Asador El Lagar de Isilla.Tapas and Wine: The area around Calle Isilla and Plaza Mayor is packed with bars where you can enjoy Ribera del Duero D.O. wines and local pinchos.Underground Wine Cellars: Aranda features a network of 12th-century cellars right beneath the streets. You can book a tour at Bodega Las Ánimas or Peña El Chilindrón.🚗 Logistics and TipsParking: Parking on the apartment's street is very easy and completely free. We suggest walking around the town center, as traffic will be heavy during those days.Safety: Don't forget to purchase certified solar eclipse glasses (ISO rated) to look at the sun safely.
