The house has three double bedrooms, a large living/dining room area with a fire place, a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms with shower. The property has a basement with a double bed and is surrounded by terraces for open-air meals, or other leisure activities. This property has also two 43¨ televisions, android box with youtube and iptv to view over 10000 channels from all over the world (sky UK, movistar+. meo, nos, sport tv, canalsat etc. with films and series on demand included), and internet/wifi 250 Mb/s. The house is situated in the quiet area of Vila Real de St Antonio/Hortas, at 100 M from the food chain supermarket Pingo Doce (with restaurant included) and at 30 minutes walk to the Beach.

Activities and attractions

Vila Real de Santo António is a quiet and safe town with great beaches and plenty of sunshine. The locals are hospitable people who like to receive tourists.
The food is excellent and varied: several codfish specialities (Bacalhau grelhado, à braz, etc), grilled Sardine, swordfish, etc, the Monte Gordo shrimp, octopus or tuna salad, or cockles and clams are delicacies easily found in one of the numerous Portuguese cuisine restaurants, but you can also easily find Chinese, Indian or a Take Away grilled chicken "frango churrasco" of the Algarve.
The beaches of Vila Real de St Antonio and Monte Gordo are ones of the Algarve's best beaches. They form a bay with hot summer temperatures and mild temperatures throughout the year with little rain during the year (average of 10 days/year). The calm waters and the extensive fine sandy beaches allows you to use them all year, and most of the bars and restaurants terraces on the beaches do not close during the winter.
All beaches in the area (Vila Real, Monte Gordo, Praia verde, Altura, Manta Rota, Cacela Velha and Cabanas) are excellent clean and safe beaches for swimming. The Vila Real de St Antonio Beach has an ecological path, the " Caminho dos Três Pauzinhos " with access to pedestrians, bicycles and a tourist train available from the Vila Real de Santo António Council.

Rent a bike and ride in Vila Real de Santo António and Monte Gordo, city by the sea, connected to Vila Real de St Antonio by comfortable bike trails. Take the ferryboat (very cheap) to Ayamonte and stroll or shop in Spain. Walking or cycling, visit the villages and surrounding beaches (several in a 6 Km radius).
For sports lovers Vila Real de St Antonio has a stadium/sports center approved by the IAAF and certified by the Olympic Committee of Portugal with various sporting activities, and widely used by world-class athletes. Tennis courts and municipal swimming pool are also located near the sports center.
The historic town of Castro Marim with its castles awaits your visit. Several golf courses up to 10 km away are also available - Castro Marim Golf, Quinta do Vale, Monte Rei, etc. It is also worth a visit to Cacela Velha, with its church and a superb view of the Ria Formosa.
If you stay for a longer period, rent a car or go by bus: visit Lepe, Cartaya, Huelva, Seville, Alcoutim and Mértola. Tavira is a beautiful town with 30 churches. There are boat trips on the Guadiana river and bus tours to Seville, Gibraltar, Lisbon, etc.

Vila Real de Santo António City

Founded in 1774 by order of the Marquis of Pombal, the city was built in less than two years. The geometric design of the Pombaline urbanism that gave birth to the city, is today its main shopping area. The streets converge to the Marques de Pombal Square, with a central obelisk and four pombalinos turrets.
Much appreciated for its mild winter, the town receives the usual visit of north European tourists seeking to enjoy the pleasant climate temperatures of this Algarve region.
The whole area is flat, allowing comfortable hiking or biking activities throughout the city. Recent Vila Real recreational dock located at the mouth of the River Guadiana is a strong investment in the tourism sector. Due to its privileged position at the mouth of the Guadiana river, in addition to the nationals, this dock welcomes ships from many countries, such as Spain, France, England and the Netherlands among others. From there, you can go up the river and enjoy the coasts views.
