The accommodation

Quinta Dom José - rural tourism, has 8 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, air conditioning and TV with international channels. A large swimming pool surrounded by straw parasols and a pool for small children is available next to a barbecue.

We present here on this platform the possibility of reservations for groups between 16 and 22 people.
Note: During low season periods, we may offer discounts for groups of less than 16 people. Please contact us for a quote.
The proposal presented here on the platform is for GROUP/FULL reservations on a "Accommodation Only" basis with access to a kitchen and a large dining room for the group. Breakfast is not included.

For groups aiming to take daily excursions, the "Accommodation and Breakfast" option may be more interesting. It does not include a kitchen and dining room. For this reservation option, you must request a quote/quote.

Quinta Dom José offers a spacious barbecue area, equipped with a charcoal oven, stove, microwave, beverage refrigerator, dishes, plates, coffee maker, and TV, perfect for enjoying a great barbecue and gatherings around the table. Have fun!

Setting

The Quinta is located in LAGE, in the municipality of Vila Verde, between Braga (7km) and Ponte de Lima (18km).

Our excellent location in the center of the Minho region and good access allow easy visits to Braga and Guimarães, Porto and Gerês, Barcelos and Viana do Castelo.

Activities and attractions

In the heart of the Minho region, Quinta Dom José is next to the beautiful and historic city of Braga, where we suggest visiting the magnificent Bom Jesus Sanctuary, with the oldest funicular in the world, endless staircases, fountains, and Baroque statues. After a steep climb up the Escadaria das Virtudes (Staircase of Virtues), you reach Largo do Pelicano, where there is a beautiful Baroque garden. Next, you'll find the Adro do Bom Jesus, where the famous basilica is located, and a little further up is the beautiful Bom Jesus Lake. Five kilometers from the Bom Jesus Sanctuary is the Sameiro Sanctuary, situated at about 600 meters altitude, offering fantastic views of Braga. In the city, a stroll through Braga's historic center provides easy access to its imposing Cathedral, museums, famous terraces, and restaurants.

In Vila Verde, we suggest a visit to the beautiful river beaches and excellent walking routes along the banks of the Cávado River. To end a beautiful day, we recommend a visit to Ponte de Lima and enjoying the town's upscale area and its famous Limiana cuisine in one of the many local restaurants.

Visit Guimarães with its beautiful centuries-old squares: Largo do Toural, Largo do Brasil, and the Largo de Oliveira and Largo de Santiago, as well as the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza and the Castle.

You can also easily visit Barcelos and its famous weekly Market (on Thursdays), visit the Gerês Natural Park, and also the city of Porto.
