about the house: we are a young azorean couple, who lived in this house for 3 years. the house is almost 100 years old and it has been in the family for all this time. it's still our favourite house because of its particular charming features and for the invigorating energy it transmits to those who wish to listen to the splendid sounds of nature. but our family grew bigger and we had to move to another house, we could also call home. we didn't go far, we live just 100 meters away!

now we want to share this house with those who are looking for a calm and inspiring place to relax even for just a few days. this house is different and can make you experience unforgetable moments.

Wonderful time!

We had such a great time at Sílvia‘s place. She is a wonderful host and person. The house is perfectly clean and beautiful furnished. You find everything you need there! Not to forget the beautiful and huge garden and the delicious meal Silvia cooked for us on our first evening. We wished we could have stayed longer and defintely recommend this accomodation.

evaluate accomodation near Ponta Delgada

This rural guest house met all our expectations. It felt like a home away from home. It is a place which provides the peacefulness and quietness we were looking for, but with civilization still in reach. The inside is very traditional and homey, while the garden with all its variety of fruit trees is unique and wonderful to explore. Besides the warm welcome we had received by the hosts we learned about their culture, lifestyle, traditions and typical dishes first hand. It was an experience we would like to repeat soon again.

Great base to discover the island

We visited Sao Miguel in the 2nd half of September and we stayed at Silvia's place for 9 nights. However, we didn't stayed at the guest house which is advertised here. Silvia and Artur they offered us to stay at the-next-to-their-house place which is used for family gatherings and is perfectly equipped with furnitures and kitchen stuff. We really liked this place, because of the local spirit which you could feel there, as well as its great location which gives you an opportunity to visit the rest of the island. Thank you!
