House for 7-9 people only 300 meters from the beach

Just had a great week in Cobreces, we rented Casa Fredo and another house nearby for our family to celebrate a 60th birthday, so in the party staying at this house we had 3 children. The house, pool, garden and BBQ, were great for us! We used it as our main base. Location great and fantastic views across the hills and sea. Cobreces beach is just a short stroll down the hill. The pool was lovely. Only one drawback, we had 7 people in the house, and only had one bathroom. Apart from that everything was good! The owners were nice and spoke some English- we were a bit noisy but they didn't mind!

We spent a lovely week here, the position of the house was great with fantastic views and within easy walking distance to the beach and also the bakery, little shop and a good restaurant (brasas y tapas-great value). The house (more like a large flat within a very large house) itself was very spacious and clean but with only one bathroom and a medium-sized kitchen (the only place to sit down to eat at the table) is best suited to 4-6 people maximum in my opinion. The pool was nice and clean if a little chilly but that is to be expected in an unheated, uncovered pool in Northern Spain! We went in every day anyway, rain or shine! My one complaint would be the smell of drains that seemed to linger around the driveway area and near our back door at times, especially bad on a hot day. I guess that's due to the house not being on a mains sewerage system so had it's own which was located too near the house perhaps. It didn't spoil our enjoyment as we used the other door if necessary. All in all a fantastic week in a great place in a great location. The owners were friendly and helpful and we wouldn't hesitate in returning.
