Setting

Close to Covas Beach (Viveiro) and the seafront promenade, with all essential services just a short distance away. The town of Viveiro is right next door. A visit is highly recommended, along with Mount San Roque, which offers panoramic views of the estuary. Also worth visiting is El Souto da Retorta, home to the largest eucalyptus tree in Europe. Just 40 minutes away is the Beach of the Cathedrals, designated a Natural Monument. The town hosts many popular festivals such as La Rapa das Bestas, San Roque, Naseiro, and more.

Activities and attractions

Beaches near the house: Covas, Seiramar, Sacido, and Abrela (where there’s a beautiful cliffside walk called O Fuciño do Porco). Next are the beaches of San Román and Xilloi. In O Vicedo, you’ll find stunning beaches with fine sand: Area Longa and Caolín, with lovely walking paths. Then we enter the Barqueiro estuary with untouched beaches: Esteiro, Bares, and Estaca de Bares, offering breathtaking views where the Cantabrian and Atlantic seas meet. Continuing along the coast, we reach Loiba with O Picón beach, its dramatic cliffs, and the “most beautiful bench in the world” due to its spectacular views. Numerous beaches follow along the coast until reaching Cape Ortegal, Serra da Capelada, and finally San Andrés de Teixido, home to the highest cliffs in Europe.
