Setting

Peñíscola is well known on Spain's Costa del Azahar coastline. Locally known as 'the City in the sea' the Moorish old town was built around a Medieval castle which was the location for the epic film 'El Cid'.
Peñíscola is located north of Castellon (70km) and Valencia (130km). South of Barcelona (220km).

Activities and attractions

Mainly are its beaches.
In front of the apartment is "North Beach", the main beach wide and 5km long! with very fine sand, ideal for children.
-Near by there are several small stone beaches, less crowded but beautiful, a paradise where to enjoy.
There are all kind of water sports; Peñíscola is a popular holiday resort and has a superb marina, restaurants, Scuba divers and snorkelers will enjoy the beaches to the south bounded by rocky coves and cliffs.
-Mountain excursions in quads, bikes for hire and explore the city at your own pace, paddle, miniature train tourist routes for the whole family, visits Templar castle and much more!
-There is a bird zoo “Jardín del Papagayo” close to Peñíscola, “Aquarama” in Benicassim (watter resort) or “Port Aventura” in Reus (a big theme park where to enjoy the hole family).
