It is an old stone house completely restored. It has a garden that makes it independent of the surroundings. It is accessed by a portal to the garden and from it walking about 10 meters by a paved floor is accessed by a door to a small and romantic white cubicle, surrounded by crystals and covered with ivy and bougainvillea.
Inside the house, we see how the sea and the light flood the space: a corridor leading to an open room where we have the kitchen-dining room, the fireplace and desk, the living room with TV and library and the terrace. The terrace is an ideal place to dine in front of the sea. If you wake up early in the morning, you will see dozens of tiny boats marching in front of the house.
The floor is of granite-sepia travertine marble, in addition it has a large double bedroom with three large windows and a huge bathroom with bathtub (which has hydromassage) and independent shower. The bathroom floor is yellow travertine marble, as well as the two sinks that were made especially for this bathroom. An immense mirror covers the entire front of the bathroom. All the carpentry is oak. The large dining table is made of teak. On a second floor or loft connected by a spiral staircase has a large bedroom, with sloping ceilings, with two windows. From this bedroom you can see the sea. The mezzanine has a bathroom with shower.
The exterior of the house is surrounded by a large stone corridor, a fantastic place to eat. The rest of the property is lawn, with some plants and fruit trees and a great barbecue with stone floor and tile roof. The garden to the south extends to a door that faces the sea. From the rocks or from one of the old stone jetties we can bathe in a pool that forms the rocks.
A walk along the sea leads to a beach very familiar and uncrowded, but with all services. If you do not want to walk on the rocks you can access this beach by an asphalt road. The small urbanization is private and to access it is necessary to open a large portal of which only residents have keys. Although close to the road, the urbanization is not visible from the same as it is separated by a wall and a small forest. It is a quiet place where the only sound you will hear is the sea.
Activities and attractions
900 meters from this urbanization is one of the most picturesque villages in Spain: Combarro. It is a small town, formed by small houses and narrow alleys that get into the sea. It is known for having lots of horreos, which are small and beautiful constructions used to store grain and other crops.
It looks like a fairytale town, with numerous restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. In Combarro is one of the most modern marinas in Spain, where you can rent a boat, take a sailing course or enjoy a trip to one of the islands of the estuary.
To 7 km is the capital of the province, Pontevedra, one of the most beautiful cities of Galicia. It is a pleasure to pass through its streets and take some tapas at sunset on the terraces that populate the historic pedestrian area.
In the other direction, 10 km from the house, we have the epicenter of tourism in Rías Baixas, the town of Sanxenxo, which in summer is full of people enjoying its magnificent beaches, its restaurants and its magnificent nightlife. It is not uncommon to find some famous character on the beach walking or playing with his children in the sand.
For many the best beach in Galicia is La Lanzada, located 20 km from our house, very close to the paradise of seafood, the fishing village of O Grove.
Also, very close you have magnificent golf courses. As Meaño about 5 km, the Island of the Toja to 20 km or the Domaio to 30 km from where you will have incredible views of Vigo and the Cies Islands. After so much action you may feel like a bit of relaxation, since you have very close to magnificent spas: La Toja, El Talasso in Sanxenxo and half an hour to the famous spa of Mondariz.

Escogimos esta casa por su cercanía a Combarro (uno de mis lugares favoritos de Galicia) y por las fotos, que nos encantaron. Cuando llegamos a la casa no nos defraudó en absoluto! Además de ser bonita y estar bien decorada, tiene unas vistas impresionantes a la ría, un precioso jardín con barbacoa y bañera hidromasaje (para mí siempre un punto a tener en cuenta al elegir alojamiento). La casa está en una pequeña urbanización muy tranquila, muy cerca de una playa pequeña, ideal para relajarse y disfrutar de las vacaciones. Me hubiera encantado volver este verano, pero lamentablemente no me podré escapar a Galicia, así que esperamos poder volver el año que viene.
