The accommodation

Vacation house furnished in Sardinian art style mainly in hand carved wood. Located within walking distance of the beach and the market/restaurant/pizzeria, it offers great relaxation as it is located in a quiet place . It has a large shared garden with Mediterranean scrub. It consists of: 1 twin bedroom (joinable into double) and 1 bedroom with bunk beds; 1 shower room. From the living room there is access to the kitchen separated by an arch without a door. Washing machine, portable BBQ, outdoor shower, indoor parking. Ideal for families with children given almost direct access to the white sandy beach and all amenities.

Setting

Torre delle Stelle is in the south-east of Sardinia, about 35 km from Cagliari and 15 from Villasimius, a pleasant village set in hill and valley overlooking the sea and surrounded by woods. Tranquillity, relaxation and amusement are on offer. There are in all about 1.200 villas of which only a very small number are rented out. In the seventies, the holiday villas were owned by the inhabitants of Sardinia. The middle class families of Cagliari during the summer, when school ended, moved for about 3 months in their summer holiday villas in this popular spot of South Sardinia near to Villasimius.
Over the past twenty years, when children are grown, these villas have been used for shorter periods and therefore the owners made them available as vacation rentals. The area has 2 beaches with the whitest of sand, the sea is crystal blue and the area has the longest summer in the whole island. In fact the climate is very agreeable all year round. These beaches are ideal for children because the water gets deeper very gradually. Besides having general food stores Torre delle Stelle has restaurants, a pizzeria, a caffè/bar, tennis courts, football pitch, a diving school , a nautical club and other water sports facilities.
