Deceptively spacious with a large open-plan main living area, Mimosa Casita has been designed in a traditional style with lots of local character including high wooden ceilings, terracotta floor tiles and wooden shuttered windows. Sleeping up to four guests, it offers 1 double bedroom & 1 twin bedroom along with two bathrooms - so popular with couples, family or friends to share. The double bedroom has a queen bed & an en-suite shower room specially fitted to accommodate disabled and wheelchairs users, although with its wetroom design of sink & wc as well as the large open shower it is suitable for all guests. The twin bedroom is next to the family bathroom and can also become a second double on request.
In the open-plan living area, the well stocked hand-painted kitchen is fully furnished with granite worktops, gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer - as well as a wooden dining table seating four. For relaxing, there are two comfy sofas, WiFi, radio/CD, iPod docking station, UK/European (freeview) satellite TV & DVD, selection of board games, books and toy box for younger children - with a woodburner for the cooler nights between mid November to late March.
Two pairs of patio doors lead out onto the stone patio with a vine shaded pergola, complete with two sunbeds, charcoal BBQ and table and chairs for perfect for a lazy breakfast or al fresco dining - while the private garden area at the rear has an ancient olive tree with a wooden swing chair for a relaxing snooze.
Finca El Sueño is a relaxed & mellow retreat in a peaceful rural location, the antithesis to a managed holiday resort - where adults can sit back and relax in their own private space, while children run free to explore and meet new friends in several acres of gardens. Tucked within organic laid-back grounds including a large Bees & Butterfly Herb Garden, Citrus Walk and a lake in the water meadows, there are just five country houses full of character sleeping one to eight persons - offering guests a choice of individual accommodation for couples, families and friends, as well as larger groups.
The four 1, 2 & 3 bedroom Casitas (cottages) are named after the closest of the trees that surround them, each have their own private shaded patio & garden, sharing a swimming pool safely fenced for little ones & two play areas for children set in the central gardens. One bed Casita Almendra is perfect for just 1 or 2 persons, while both three bedroom Casitas Alcornoque and Pimienta are also popular for families & friends. The spacious and peaceful Cortijo del Sueño (original farmhouse with Moorish origins) with four en-suite bedrooms has its own private swimming pool, so perfect for families and friends to share, or a base for larger groups.
Welcoming guests for 12 years (many who return more than once), Finca El Sueño is found in one of the most unspoilt areas of the Costa de la Luz, nestled into a secluded valley by the sea between the hilltop 'white village' of Vejer & the seaside towns of Zahara and Barbate. There are four regional airports of Jerez, Seville, Gibraltar and Malaga, offering a wealth of choices for guests from all over the world. The closest train station is Jerez airport and a good system of buses serve the region, with the closest main bus station at the foot of Vejer hill (Barca de Vejer). Taxis are available locally. However, we recommend car hire to explore the area fully.
