El Cortijo del pino
Charming rural houses in the Vega of Granada just 3 km from the city
“El Cortijo del Pino”, is a farm-house with historical architecture, that dates back to the XIX century, and is located only 3 kilometers from the city of Granada. The house is divided into two stories around a central courtyard, with stone columns, a tower with dovecote, cistern, swimming pool and facilities for agricultural use. El Cortijo houses four rural apartments, that have been restored mantaining the characteristics of the area, and recovering most of the original architectural elements: terracotta floors, wooden ceilings, handmade ceramic tiled … The entire cortijo is surrounded by lush vegetation among which include some centenary lime trees, palm trees, plane trees, cypresses and fruit farm in organic production.
The Casa de los Atrojes is located on the ground floor of the Cortijo del Pino, west aligned to the courtyard, with input from the garden. It has two double bedrooms (one with double bed, one with twin beds), bathroom with bath, living room with wood fireplace and separate kitchen.

La Casa de la Cuadra is located in the old dairy farmhouse. This space, 4 m high, is below the main body of the house, with west orientation. It has two double bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with twin beds), bathroom with shower, living room with wood stove and kitchen. Outer space is shaded by a pergola of wisteria.
The house Tinao occupies what was the old barn and farm tools store. It is structured as a duplex, with an open wooden loft. Downstairs the living room with a wood stove, kitchen and bathroom. Upstairs bedroom with a double bed (in the living room is a comfortable sofa bed that increases the capacity of this house for one or two persons).
Outer space is shaded by a pergola of wisteria.

The house Torreón occupies the old tower of the Cortijo del Pino, formerly drying of fruits and loft. As turret, it is located on the second floor culminating the building. It is structured as a duplex with a living room with kitchen part of a wooden staircase to the upper floor. Here is a spacious bedroom and bathroom.
With excellent views of the Vega of Granada and Sierra Nevada, it has a magnificent private terrace with furniture.

Tranquillity five minutes from Granada, and much character. Kind, artistic Concha and her mother make this place, and their grand old farmhouse, topped with tower and pigeon loft, is hard to resist. The approach is marvellous, the beautiful trees creating a warm, out-of-time atmosphere, and this cooperative's cornfields are ecologically run. The apartments – the nicest two in converted cattle stalls and dairy – are supremely comfortable: one a nest for two, another for six, two for four. There are wood-burning stoves, underfloor heating and charming, well-equipped kitchens with lovely hand-made tiles. Furnishings are antique, the beds a delight; ceilings are high, walls thick and cool. There's no communal space, bar the pool and the large inner patio, and a wide circular path that links the apartments, each with its own furniture, but this is best in summer. You may even be offered products from the holding's own huerta ecológica. When you've had enough of home cuisine, there's an excellent venta nearby.
Activities and attractions
In the Cortijo we have several bicycles available for the use of our clients, . You may enjoy a ride through the country discovering the Vega, or a make a visit to Granada. Right next to our complex we have a bike path that allows you to safely ride into the city in about 15 minutes.
The Vegetable Garden and the Animal Corral
We also have an outlet where you can buy some packaged organic products from small initiatives of local farmers in the province of Granada such as honey from the Alpujarra , Alomartes oil, jams made with subtropical fruit from the coast, or preserves from Poniente or dried goods from Altiplano area.
…in the City
To get to the city you can go by bike, taxi or in your own car, and leave it at any of the car parks located near downtown. Granada is a city where you can walk just about anywhere, and once in the center the city provides public trasportation, allowing you to be free of driving.
To visit the Alhambra we recommend you get tickets in advance as they frequently sell out . The entire visit usually lasts 3-4 hours if you want to visit the Alcazaba, the Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife. From the Cortijo del Pino, it is about a 15 minute drive and you can park in the outside parking adjacent to the venue.
Albaicín and Sacromonte
To visit the Albaicin and the Sacromonte must get to Plaza Nueva, from here you can walk up the Calderaría (Arabic quarter with shops and tea rooms) or the Carrera del Darro and the Cuesta del Chapiz. Another option is to take the local bus number 32, this bus takes a circular tour around the neighborhood.

Sachant que nous allions beaucoup marcher et circuler en voiture dans une ville très animée, nous voulions pouvoir nous reposer le soir et bien dormir au calme. Ce fut un bon choix: accueil très chaleureux de concha, virginia et toute le famille, disponibilité et présence discrète. Un seul bon souvenir? l'apéritif le soir au calme, sur la belle terrasse ombragée, face au soleil se couchant derrière les bosquets. Pour les autres souvenirs, la si belle granada et sa alhambra éternelle
