You will immediately feel Horta Vermelha’s energy, character and personalised detail. You will be in control of your time and your feelings, whatever you decide to do.
You may choose to relax in the private comfort of the cottage and surrounding olive and walnut groves. You may take a day out, exploring the region’s beautiful landscape, world heritage cities, towns and castles. Or you may go winery hopping, savouring the renowned quality wines.
The surrounding space offers inviting spots under great cork and fig trees, the Japanese medlar, amidst the century-old olive grove, or by the old natural spring under the oldest walnut tree. You may walk up the meadow, scent the wild garlic, the spontaneous lavender flowers, and a multitude of other herbs, while spotting the sheep and cows in the vicinity. You may be lucky and see some other companions up there.

Activities and attractions
Our eco-friendly recreational pool is about 90cm deep in all of it, 5m x 5m. It is perfect for a summer refreshment and very appreciated by our guests. It is fresh running water old tank, kept clean and without toxic materials. We provide dedicated towels and it has a very pleasant shaded area, for the summer.

Descanso ao sol
Melhor não poderíamos imaginar. Fomos recebidos pela sofia que nos explicou todos os pormenores da casa. Tivemos direito a uma cesta de boas vindas com produtos regionais para o pequeno almoço. A casa estava impecável. Havia aquecedor em quase todas as divisões e à noite acedemos a salamandra. A propriedade é magnifica e tivemos sorte em apanhar em apanhar uns diazinhos de sol. Decididamente que vamos voltar.
