Morada Sol - houses with pool, near beach Cascais

The accommodation

Morada do Sol is a wonderful and peaceful fenced country estate with houses accommodating from 2 to 30 people in total. You are never in a crowd and there is a relaxed feeling of community.

Villa Monte e Mar is the main house - spacious and luxurious, with room for up to 12 people.

Although part of the garden and the swimming pool are shared with the guests of Villa Sintra, a 2000 m2 private landscaped area is reserved for the exclusive use of the Villa´s guests.

There you will find a large feature barbecue and a marble table with seating for 16 under a pillared portico making a wonderful transition between the house and garden. The house itself is light and at one with its setting, which has inspired the flow and curves of its design.

Furnished with a country flair, oriental and contemporary pieces and paintings, it has 4-5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large open plan sitting and dining room, and a kitchen/breakfast room. All modern facilities such as Jacuzzi, satellite TV and DVD, internet, and dishwasher are provided.

Casa dos Meninos, a three-bedroom unit (up to 6 people) with its own kitchen and bathroom, connected to the main Villa via internal stairs. It features lovely hand painted tiles (azulejos) by a local artist.

Villa Monte e Mar and Casa dos Meninos are called Villa Cascais which can accommodate up to 18 people.

The two apartments which make up Villa Sintra (up to 12 people) can be rented separately as Casa Jasmin or Casa Geranium (up to 6 people each). Both units are on one floor. Jasmin has the option of one or two bedrooms and a reception room with kitchenette and sofa-bed, plus its own patio. Casa Geranium is larger, has the option of three or four bedrooms, a reception room and dining room with open plan kitchen, plus its own patio. Guests can enjoy the pool and the grounds of the Quinta.

Parties of up to 30 people can stay at Morada do Sol when all units are let to the same group. There is ample secure parking inside the gated property.

Setting

Morada do Sol is a large, enclosed property in a rural setting near Cascais, at the foot of the Sintra hills, 3 km from Guincho beach. This is an ideal location for nature lovers, being in the Sintra-Cascais protected Natural Park where building is very restricted. This is an amazing hiking and walking area, with an abundance of wild flowers, birds and animals. Yet it is only 4 km to the motorway, making Lisbon accessible in less than 30 minutes. Cascais and Sintra are just 10 minutes away.

With a large swimming pool and beautiful grounds in a 5000m2 estate, close to the beach and the many attractions of Cascais, Lisbon and Sintra, Morada do Sol offers an ideal setting for a perfect holiday: peace and privacy amongst the beauty and tranquility of nature but with all you might want close by. The large, covered pool means the water is warm enough for you to swim from April to November; sliding doors allow you to catch a cooling breeze in the summer months. The extensive and well-kept gardens with their grand pine tree drive and many areas and spaces of different character have wonderful displays of colour for most of the year and the mature palm trees provide delightful summer shade. Help yourself to fruits and vegetables of the season from the orchard and vegetable garden, all biologically produced. In winter, relax by a log fire and contemplate the view down a green and unspoilt valley to the sea, or the mystical Sintra hills behind. Enjoy the outdoor games area all year round.
