INDICAZIONI STRADALI/DIRECTIONS
From the A1 motorway, exit at Orte in the direction of Viterbo, merge with SR2 - Cassia, take SP7 - Martana and proceed on SP8- Verentana, continue on SS312 towards Canino for about 19 km, turn right on SP107, then take SP108.
From SS1 Aurelia: exit at Montalto di Castro and merge with SS312 towards Canino, proceed for about 6 km, turn left in SP106, continue for about 10 km, then take the SP108

Vulci, the cradle of the ancient Etruscan civilization, offers a myriad of places to enjoy suggestive experiences.
Everybody can admire the archeological naturalistic park thanks to the long walkable paths that guide the visitors towards an uncontaminated nature and every kind of archeological findings: the ancient city, the hot springs, the Domus teeming with mosaic floor, suggestive subterranean spaces and the necropolis that surrounds the city.
There are also about a thousand of different tombs, they are a noteworthy wealth both archeological and artistic: the magnificent grave Cuccumella , Sfinge tomb, Tori tomb, Iscrizione and Francoise tomb. The Francoise tomb is one of the most important Etruscan monuments, it is composed by seven rooms. Each room is garnished by magnificent decorations which represent extraordinary example of Etruscan painting.
In “Vulci” area there are not only Etruscan evidences but also: Abbadia bridge of Roman origin. The bridge is tall about 20 meters, it overlooks the “Fiora” river which is positioned in front of medieval castle “Abbadia”. Inside the castle there is a magnificent archeological museum which exhibits some evidences hailing from Necropoli excavating.
There is a magnificent plateau, it is an extraordinary land teeming with olive trees and, more recently, asparagus. This landscape is a distinctive characteristic of Canino. Who likes nature and wants to enjoy naturalistic and archeological site of our territory, “casale di Vulci” is the best place to be.
From “casale di Vulci” everybody can easily reach the naturalist and archeological park of Vulci, passing trough the expanse of olive tree groves. The trees represent the history and the culture of this place.
Passing through the uncontaminated nature everyone can easily reach an extraordinary place. In this area, inside volcanic rocks, there are canyons excavated from Fiora River. There is a small waterfall and a small pond “Pellicone”.
Here we are surrounded by the typical perfumed and colorful Mediterranean scrubland. Inside this park, passing through the long paths, is usual to find typical cows of Maremma and horses in a wild state.
There is another unique place, it is a contrast between the harmony and the wild. It evokes a mix of sensations and emotions. The visitors feel like they are in an authentic world, distant from noises and artificial elements.
Vulci park is suitable for the whole family, in fact, it offers varied routes of different level of difficulties. These routes can be done individually or with the assistance of environmental and archeological guide
“Casale di Vulci” also has another important service, the bike rental. Everybody can gamble in a suggestive countryside routes, or, if you are an expert cyclist, you can reach the Bolsena lake, very closed from Casale di Vulci, or you can also go to the beach in Montalto Marina or in Pescia Romana that is not far from Montalto. You can head out hilly and flat paths, the itinerary are more or less arduous. However you always have the certainty to be surrounded by nature and to discover suggestive and emotional places.
The bike is just one of the sport options to be provided from Casale di Vulci. In the Naturalistic park are also organized horse riding routes, an amusing experience for real pockmark. We also provide trekking itineraries which allow to admire magnificent panoramas. It is also possible to go rafting in Fiora river, this sport is pleasant both for adults and for children. Once again, if you are not satisfied you can also go kayaking in the Fiora river.
