The accommodation

It is a house made of raw earth, a traditional construction in the area that has been recovered with its own Bioconstruction techniques.

Facing south, it is composed of a wonderful entrance hall, a large fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with a wood stove, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a toilet and a room for the washing machine. The living room has a very easy to open sofa bed. And in the southern area, it has a wonderful garden and barbecue.

With an ideal location in the Tierra del Pan, between Zamora, the Sierra de la Culebra and the Raya Portuguesa, our house offers endless tourist opportunities in the west of the Castilian plateau.
We are in Andavías, a town that remains alive in the middle of one of the most depopulated regions of Spain. Proof of the will to survive that characterizes its inhabitants is the Solemn Mass of Andavías, which is sung on New Year's Day: transmitted orally, it is a music of Mozarabic tradition, and its importance has been recognized by foreign experts such as Marcel Perès .
The town was originally divided into several neighborhoods, which have been joined over time. The church, dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel, dates from the end of the 18th century; and there are also some steps of a Via Crucis on the way to the Camposanto, with powerful granite crosses.

Activities and attractions

We are 15 km from Zamora, 12 km from the Church of San Pedro de la Nave, 5 km from Lake Ricobayo and next to the Ruta de la Plata. In 45 minutes you can be in Portugal, or Arribes del Duero, Lagunas de Villafáfila, Granja de Moreruela or Toro.
The house gives access to ecotourism. In the area you can observe birds, we're in a special area to make bird watching, you can take walks in nature and enjoy a living traditional culture.
